  • Works great

Used it under my laminate flooring

  • Really heavy!
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
Thus vinyl is REALLY HEAVY! We are having our 30+ son help us hang it. We are using the acoustical caulk around the edges and then the roofing nails and then acoustical tape around the edges. Have not gotten it all up yet so I cannot attest to the sound barrier qualities, but if this doesn't keep the sound and vibrations from kids jumping next door, nothing will! ... show more

  • easy to instal.
Size: 4.5' x 30' (135 sf)

  • Does what one expects it to do
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
I bought this sound insulation to line a wooden case I made for a very noisy computer (really a server) I own. This sound insulation knocks the sound down to a volume where I do not mind being in the same room with the server. I am no sound expert, but the sound proofing did seem to drop the volume around 30 dB (based on a comparison with a pair of ear protection headphones I own that drop sound 30 dB). ... show more

  • Sound deadening for cars.
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
Very heavy. Used it to insulate my car doors and trunk. I can say, there is at a minimum a 15 decibel difference over noisy roads.

  • Totally Odorless
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
Bought some MLV from another company that smelled terrible. This product is exactly as advertised. Completely odorless and appears to be quality sound proofing material.

  • Personal Experience: Did not work
Size: 4.5' x 30' (135 sf)
I'm having similar issues as some other 1-star reviews. After installation still hear my neighbor as clear as daylight, maybe even more! Does it amplify sound? The last statement may be a half joke but it sure feels that way. Anyway, usually don't like to give bad reviews because people's business depends on good reviews, so please ask the vendor closely about thus product before purchase and investing a lot of money. ... show more

I star as info only... know this roll is a pallet delivery that weights 1100 lbs. It broke through the pallet making it very difficult to get into the job site. Have not installed yet to give a full review and do not know how this product performs yet.

  • Good sound blocking, but a little harder to work with
Size: 4' x 15' (60 sf)
This product says its "easy" to cut, but I found it a bit challenging with normal scissors. After 20-30 minutes of cutting/trimming, my hand was hurting. It's also difficult to get a precision cut because you're pressing down so hard on the scissors. So if you just need rough cuts, it's fine (use heavy-duty work scissors to help your hands). The material has never really flattened out for me completely. It's still sorta permanently in a slight curve up position from the roll it's delivered on. Not a big deal if you're completely gluing or nailing it down, but just be aware that edges in between mounting points may still want to curl up slightly. Also, I was quite disappointed that hot glue won't adhere to this at all. The dried glue peeled off with only a bare amount of effort. I had to use heavy-duty mounting tape (which does adhere well) and, in places, a heavy-duty adhesive (24hr dry time). I like how well it works in sound reduction, I just think the product is a bit over-priced. I would have purchased and used more of this, except the higher price (and not super-quick delivery times) are disincentives. ... show more
