Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

These sound-absorbing foam panels are well-received by users for their effectiveness, especially in home studios and similar settings. While they initially have a chemical smell, it is mentioned that the smell fades away after proper treatment. It's noteworthy that these are not designed for professional soundproofing but acoustic dampening in smaller rooms. The panels excel in preventing echos and reducing noise, while being praised as cost-effective in comparison to similar products in the market.

Pros

  • 👍 Effective in reducing echo and noise.
  • 👍 Cost-effective compared to similar products.
  • 👍 Useful in small studios or rooms.
  • 👍 Long-lasting; reviewers mentioned they have had them for nearly 15 years with no problem.

Cons

  • 👎 Initial chemical smell, though temporary and treatable.
  • 👎 Not suitable for professional soundproofing needs.
  • 👎 Small in size, might not cover large areas efficiently.
  • 👎 Absorbs and retains odor, not suitable if the room has regular smokers or any continuous scent.

Should I Buy It?

If you are looking for a budget-friendly and effective solution for managing acoustics in small to medium spaces, these foam panels are worth considering. They've made a noticeable difference in the rooms they've been used in and have been appreciated for their longevity. Just bear in mind, they are not designed for professional grade soundproofing.

  • I've installed these in 6 studios
Color: 50Pack Black&Red
They do have a chemical smell when you open the package. Sometimes it can be quite strong. When it is very strong I use the manufacturer suggested prep and let them soak in hot water for about an hour or little more. Then lay them out on a flat surface individually for the overnight. When I return they are definitely poofed and all smell is gone. I see reviews of people who use double sided tape and Velcro to attach to the wall or ceiling. You have to remember that sounds cause things to vibrate. The louder the sound the stronger the vibrations. most double sided tape warns against using in areas with loud noise. Velcro holds a little longer but those glued surfaces don't stick well to porous surfaces. I have installed every set with my staples gun like you would use for construction and my first studios foam has been installed very solid for nearly 15 years with no problem. Remember, these are foam and will absorb every bad odor they are subjected to. If you have people smoking in your studio that will stay forever. I have a guy in studio 3 that burns continuous incense and even when it's not burning the room smells like it is. These 1 inch squares aren't designed for A1 level studios. These are for your home studio or a kids playroom. They can be used as a secondary form of sound deadening products when you are using 2 or 3 forms of deadening products in a room or studio. They work great on ceilings right up against the wall where sound waves reflect off the wall at an angle and caught by the foam shapes. For lower on walls and in the middle of the ceiling its better to use the 22 inch squares that have pyramid shapes covering the squares or larger sections of egg crate foam. Using these as intended, I have never been disappointed in what they do. This seller has them at an excellent price. Buy a 50 pack from a music studio supply store and pay 3 to 4 times this price for the identical product. I just ordered 3 more sets for a studio I'm doing in Cincinnati Ohio in a few weeks. Don't go in expecting these to be your primary source for deadening and use the proper mounting hardware and you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • OK Product not the best
Color: 50Pack Black
The Burdurry 50 Pack Acoustic Panels have been a game-changer in my home studio setup. These soundproof studio foam panels not only look sleek in black but also serve their purpose exceptionally well. They measure 1" X 12" X 12", making them versatile for various applications. When I first set them up, I noticed an immediate improvement in the sound quality within my studio. These panels effectively absorb sound, reducing echo and reverberation, which had been a persistent issue before. Whether I'm recording vocals or mixing music, the difference is remarkable. What sets the Burdurry panels apart is their durability and ease of installation. I didn't face any challenges while mounting them on the walls. Plus, the pack of 50 is generous, ensuring that I had enough panels to cover the necessary surfaces. Compared to other sound-absorbing solutions I've tried, the Burdurry panels offer a cost-effective option without compromising on quality. They've significantly enhanced the acoustics of my studio, allowing me to create professional-grade audio recordings. If you're looking to improve the sound quality in your space, these panels are a fantastic choice. ... show more

  • Not very soundproof
Color: 50Pack Black
I bought these to help absorb sound, but they did not do a very good job. They were pretty thick and I used a long type of thumb tack to put them in my walls, as well as double sided adhesive pads, but neither option really kept the soundproof pads on my walls.

  • It's "fluffy" if thats what you need.
Color: 50Pack Black
I can vouch for this product's value for money. Kinda wish I did have pictures of the "condensed" shipping method. It included a note "wait 48 hours for full expansion" and it wasn't an exaggeration. Once released from its vacuumed bag and fully "expanded" you'll see your "value for money". I would like to note, depending on your desired use, this product is very "fluffy" NOT very dense. This is a great feature if your putting this inside or between to things, maybe not so much if your just lining a wall to reduce echo. My use wasn't really as wall panels but more as "stuffing" in a vehicle for sound suppression. For this it worked great. A more dense panel would have probably worked better for things like above the headliner, however the padding, once in place between and in panels, works great as a sound suppressor and to snug up loose parts that have the potential to rattle with large amounts of bass, and road giggle. Will probably buy more to use in between storm windows and outter windows in my bedroom. I think this product would be ideal for that purpose due to its "fluffy" nature, in reducing noise coming through the glass, as well as tighten them up to reduce "rattle" with large or close thunder. In short, the padded and fluffy nature of this product should work very well for a project that your filling or stuffing for noise reduction. In theory, the ridges/peaks and valleys, should also work with studio walls as advertised, however there could be more dense products with a similar design that might work better for that purpose. ... show more

  • these are super thin.
Color: 50Pack Black
Really thin lol. No adhesive but that isn't an issue for me as I'm using gorilla wall putty anyway to not leave a residue. Personally I'm going to pay a few dollars extra and get the "BEEQUIET" brand as I think they look better and are also thicker providing slightly better sound dampening if I had to guess. I'd recommend trying them both from amazon and choose for yourself. But I immediately returned these. ... show more
