  • Fresh ground coffee is best!
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
You have to work a little harder for it. The grinder has to be washed after every use but it’s worth it! Love the thermal carafe. Cool on the bottom and you can set it down anywhere.

  • Nice machine
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
I had this model but had to replace it after many years. The new model is slightly different in that the grinder sends the beans down to the filter to brew. This does make an extra step for clean up as the old model had the grinder built into the filter. That is my only complaint. Otherwise, the coffee is piping hot for hours in the thermal carafe. The grinder does its job so I don't need a second step in the morning coffee ritual. The coffee tastes great and the program feature is handy when you need it. I hope it lasts as long as my previous one. Lastly, the carafe does not drip when I pour a cup of coffee like other coffee makers. ... show more

  • A Desirable Brew
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
Finally replaced an old industrial coffee maker when it began to leak. Decided on Cuisinart because I own other appliances made by them. First its big.. almost too big for my little kitchenette. Impossible to use the carafe to pour water into the chamber in a tight area. Plus you have no way of measuring how much water is in the carafe until you pour the water in. Then you can visually see a measuring stick built into the water chamber. So, I'm using an old carafe that I can measure water from. The charcoal filter is weird. If you are using filtered water, then you may want to ignor this entire process. Plus booklet states to replace every 60 days? But they only give you a single filter. The brewing process is fast and I hate that once the coffee cycle is completed the unit auto shuts off. That means you have to depend on the coffee staying hot inside the stainless carafe. Ifs its more than an hour, hit brew with grinder off and it will restart the unit. I can't figure out how to keep the unit on! Hard to clean but most are. You can remove the part holding the permanent filter or disposable paper filters to clean as well as the bean holder. The instructions where when the clean light goes on sounds like a nightmare so have a bottle of white vinegar on standbye always. My first two brews with a dark Columbian premiim roast were adequate. Cannot adjust temperature and instructions about using hot water is confusing. Grinder is not as loud as others but it will wake the dead on a Sunday morning. A bit overpriced but you get to auto grind whole beans so I'm giving it 4stars. Looks high tech, brushed chrome and black with Cuisinart logo embossed on front. Lastly, cycle for regular and grind brewing is superfast so waiting for that first cup of java is going to make you happy. ENJOY! ... show more

  • good looking, durable, efficient, long-lasting. I highly recommend Cuisinart grinding coffeemakers.
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
Highly recommended. I decided years ago to be loyal to Cuisinart appliances due to a great customer service experience so, if they're reading this, CS does make a difference. This is my 3rd similar Cuisinart but each provided good service for a long time. I stepped back from 12 cup to 10 cup this time. I almost always only brew 6 cups but sometimes have company. I wanted the insulated pot for energy savings: the coffee brews and then the heater shuts off, but the pot keeps the coffee nice and warm. The clear pot with my old one was easier to be accurate with my 6-cup daily grind, but it only took a couple of days to figure this one out. only negative is that it's hard to pour the last cup out of the pot, compared to old pot. Overall, excellent grinding coffeemaker, easy to use and clean. ... show more

  • Great machine for people who love to clean
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
Ordered this because I was looking for a programmable 10-cup machine with an insulated carafe, and the prospect of fresh-ground beans sounded fun. I like it well enough to keep it, but it requires a lot more work than the dump and drip coffeemaker I replaced. Pros: - Insulated carafe is great at keeping coffee hot without burning it on a hot plate. I just poured myself a cup from a pot I brewed 7 hours ago and the coffee was warm enough that I didn’t need to reheat it. Stays actually hot for at least 2 hours after brewing. - I like the Cuisinart brand and the other coffee maker I own from them is going strong after ~10 years. - Coffee made from both beans and ground comes out good without too much fiddling with ratios. I like that I have the option to use whole or ground for any given pot. - Everything is top rack dishwasher safe. - I like the metal permanent filter so I don’t have to use paper filters. Cons: - This is a big one if you are lazy like me and/or don’t have a dishwasher: SO many parts and pieces. All awkward shapes so they take forever to clean by hand or air dry. And they pretty much all need to be well cleaned after every use or the whole machine will get gross fast. - Another reviewer mentioned the grinder sounds like a jet engine. Accurate. (I’m not sure a quiet grinder exists though, does it?) - It is awkward to pour water from the carafe into the top of the machine. I use a measuring cup instead, which is just another thing I need to fetch, fill, and dry to make a pot of coffee. Overall, this machine adds probably 5 minutes to my daily coffee making. The insulated carafe is a big win, but if I could do it over again I’d buy an easy to clean, plain Jane drip coffeemaker with insulated carafe and then buy a separate bean grinder for those days I’m feeling ambitious. ... show more

  • It is LOUD!
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
First time used it freaked the dogs out! Not only do you get the coffee grinder grinding but a very loud vacuum to suck up the coffee and move it to the filter area. Excellent coffee though. Recommend taking it apart and washing with soap and water daily or the grounds jam up. Seems too flimsy to put in dishwasher though it says you can. ... show more

  • Coffee Basket broke after 2 uses
Size: 10-Cup Thermal Style: Automatic Grind & Brew Color: Black/Stainless
The coffee basket broke within 2 weeks of use, so I contacted Cuisinart instead of sending the whole coffee maker back to Amazon. I spoke with a rep at Cuisinart, she put in an order for a new basket and said it would take 5-7 business days to arrive. After 3 weeks I realized I had yet to receive it I called back again and this rep told me the order had not been placed. He placed the order and I did receive it but the basket it not adjusted properly to hold the water in for flavor it just pours through. Now I am out of the time window to return it to Amazon and the coffee maker is useless to me. Who wants to drink watery coffee. ... show more
