  • This saw needs to be beefed up.
The dust collection system works very well but the housing around the blade especially the part that is connected to the motor drive is made of plastic and has broken on my saw. This saw shroud should be made of metal so the pins that keep the saw straight won't break and misalign the saw blade cuts. I would like to return this item for a replacement but the return instructions are not very clear at all. ... show more

  • More Negatives Than Positives
Don't know about writing a review for a "not currently available" product. Anyway, while this saw does indeed collect or contain dust (not even close to 100%, but better than nothing), that's offset by a long list of negatives. First, this thing is screamingly loud. Can clearly hear it three rooms away with the doors between closed, or outside when the tool is inside. My earmuffs are no match for it. Of course, no speed control to perhaps tune out some of the worst of that blade ringing, motor noise, and similar. Second, the top surface is thin metal instead of cast iron. That metal is painted, so easily scratched. Only ran one short board through it (testing) and already found a scratch. After a few uses, the top surface will be a mess. By the way, the top surface is not nearly flat enough to use as any form of a gauge or edge. Third, the ruler is metric only. No inch markings anywhere. Finally (for this review), assembly is not overly straightforward, with little help from the poorly translated manual. For example, the riving knife is hard to adjust (notched end of plate goes up), with the knob to tighten that riving knife hard to access. Be careful digging around in there. There are some sharp edges, which are at the very least uncomfortable. Can't honestly give this a very high rating. I moved it out to the storage shed, which will obviously limit my use of it. Otherwise, I'm back to using straight edges, jigsaws, bandsaws, and circular saws to cut wood. ... show more

  • This thing "SUCKS"! In a good way, as it is suposed to!
I bought this to do projects in my Garage. My wife & I live in a second floor apartment. We are both in our sixties. My wife needed stands for her parking-lot flower pot garden due to high winds. I designed and made several for her last year. She loved them and wanted a lot more. I was ,then, using a circular saw and hastily putting them together. In one year the things are already falling apart. Better materials, improved design and using this new table saw have produced ten more stands that will be around for many years to come. The peeps who did the poor reviews seem to be lacking common sense. 98% dust free is accurate. I spent about an hour assembling and doing alignment. Then I ripped ten 1" x 6" x 2 1/2' pieces of treated deck board (from the junk wood aisle) in half. After setting the saw for a 45 degree miter I cut all 20 pieces in half with both ends mitered to be legs. When I finished doing this I started to clean up for the day and noticed that there was nearly no sawdust to be found. 120 volts, two prong cord without a dedicated ground is fine for the 15 Amp draw. No blown breakers. I will not be jamming rail road tie sized chunks of wet wood through this saw. There is some play and roughness in the miter slots. I can and will fix that! The few extra parts (tiny nuts & bolts and what appears to be a part to use when making a cross-cut sled) are welcome. I will be replacing the glued on metric measuring tapes with American standard Inch/feet measuring tapes. For the price, less than $300.00 this is a great buy! ... show more

  • Handles the dust well, LOUD
This was a perfect little jobsaw. It's dust collection works great, as it collects dust into a bag. I got almost ZERO dust on my first 10 cuts. This machine is quite loud, however. Definitely need to make sure you have on your hearing protection when running for longer lengths of time.

  • Started good ended bad
The dust collection is as advertised. And cuts well the fence is shakey at best. When you tighten down the fence it moves very flimsy and offsets your alignment. The blade guide is attached to the safety with has a dust collection air hose. In time the aliment with the blade guide safety became miss aligned and I was unable to align it. Eventually the safety and dust collection hose broke off. I have attached pictures. I am beyond my return period and am completely unable to contact the company as it seems they are completely off grid. I highly recommend no one buy this as they are out of luck if anything goes wrong. ... show more

  • The fence is crap
It does the job for me. It was cheap. I make small jewelry box’s . It it very dust free and safe. But the fence doesn’t lock down straight. Before I cut I constantly have to check the straightness of that dang thing.

  • Weak Motor
Its motor is too weak. The overload breaker will keep tripping when making a cut. I can only cut a few inches while feeding it extremely slowly before it trips. I can not use it for what I now need.

  • The most expensive tool I've ever bought myself, so worth it
The most expensive tool I've ever bought myself, so worth it!! The vacuums let's me use it inside, ask my cuts are perfectly straight, it's kind of loud but it's a saw so of course it's loud, only thing it needs to be perfect would be extendable legs so it can stand on it's own cuz it's either in the ground or on a table. Until I make a stand with wheels on it in just carrying it around my garage, but it's light enough to do so. I hope they make a extension arm for it so I can cut pieces wider than 24". Oh down side, it's measurements are all in metric, I thought I would just teach myself metric sized but that's not happening, to many other things to worry about, and it's but a user friendly metric ruler, it's just 4 small lines and then 1 big one over and over with a number every 20 mm I think. And I haven't been kind to it, predominantly using it to cut 1" and 3/4" mfd . I put 6 sheets of 4'x8" mdf through it to make subwoofer enclosures the first 5 days still sharp blade only draw back is entering the vacuum bag ... show more
