The kettle looks beautiful and it works fine. But the kettle is actually a plastic handle with plastic parts. It looks very sturdy in the photos but is not so sturdy when you lift it and use it. However I got over the initial surprise that it was somewhat of a cheap plastic product and really do like the way it looks and it does heat the water nicely and works very well. I think for the price of the kettle, I sorta expected it to be more solid. I do like it enough to have bought a second kettle to use at my vacation home. So I did by it twice and I do love the look of the design. Just know it’s not a sturdy kettle so if you have guest or kids who are not courteous to not break the plastic parts, you will have an expensive kettle with broken plastic parts. ... show more

Kettle is beautiful, but stopped working. Pushed the lever, it no longer lights up, and the kettle does not boil water. Too expensive for this to have happened. Do not buy.

If you are willing to pay for quality, I highly recommend this product. I like everything about it. All the features are well thought out the quality is second to none. Another feature that I really like about it is that the water stays hot within the carafe for a very long time.
