I was almost talked into getting a gel pad for my 8 month old Original Mattress Factory king bed, but was worried about breathability as I was already waking up hot and sweaty after 3 hours of sleep. So I wanted something that was moisture wicking or breathable. I'm a side sleeper and even with nearly 3 inches of pillow top, I would still wake up and have to roll over every 1-2 hours. I took a chance with this as the price was half of what I was about to spend on a memory foam or gel pad. PLUS I worried about a pad shifting or moving under the sheets. The first night I didn't notice the "cloud of pillows" but didn't wake up hot and sweaty. The second night is when I noticed the pillow effect. After washing the product, I was a bit skeptical on how much softer it would make my bed. It didn't seem like much of a difference to what pulled out of the vacuum sealed. But nonetheless, I put it on my bed anyways, put my bed sheet over it, the laid down to go to bed. My bed is a brand new firm twin bed that I got from my dad. I had no say in the firmness of it at all It's springy, but still hard on my body. But when I laid down on it with this mattress cover on it...it was like a completely different mattress. It turned my hard firmness bed into a medium firmness. It was so comfortable, and I actually fell asleep a lot quicker than I normally do. And this morning? I didn't even want to get out of bed. I absolutely would recommend this bed cover to anyone who is not happy with their bed being rock hard and don't want to replace. And with such a low price, how can you beat it? ... show more

I Bought a memory foam mattress. The foam is hot. Living in Southern California, it can get triple digits here. I bought the expensive suggested mattress protector, and it was retaining heat. I then bought a cheap protector, because expensive, is not always better, and it was leaving me sweaty and even worse then before. After looking for different products, I seen this product description saying breathable. And I have to say it is cushy comfy, does not leave me feeling sweaty and gross, and best of all no crinkle noise, that I noticed from the other protectors. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I washed it in cold water, dried in low temp and flipped multiple times so that it dried evenly as the tag said. However, it shrank so much that I was barely able to put it the mattress. It was so hard to place it on the mattress that i almost had an asthma attack. The padding on the sides don't expand all the way. There is a 6 inch that is not covered on each side. I don't understand why so many people gave 5 stars. Yes, the padding is soft, but only if you stay in the middle. ... show more

This is a soft, comfortable mattress topper. I liked the price, and it has done what I was hoping it would. I don't sweat while I sleep anymore, and I don't want to get rid of my mattress now. It fits easily over my mattress. It also washes and dries very well. There was no smell when it came out of the package, but I did wash and dry it before putting it on my bed. I bought these for the bunks in my RV. The Teddy Bear mattresses are terrible and uncomfortable, and this mattress pad adds cushioning and circulation without adding extra bulk to the tight spaces. A good choice for tight spaces. Bonus that it’s machine washable.

Absolutely love this mattress pad cover! Recently bought a new Sealy mattress and the top is "therapeutic" and hot, did not care for. Cover is well worth the money and what a huge difference, will buy again when I need to replace.
