My mattress is still in good shape, but I was starting to have issues with pressure points, so after reading lots of reviews I bought the "4 Inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper" on Amazon. There are three versions to choose from: Plush: 3 inch memory foam, 1 inch of quilted topper Enhanced: 2 inch memory foam, 2 inch quilted topper Cooling Comfort: 2 inch memory foam, 2 inch cool-to-touch topper I opted for Enhanced version. Product shipped quickly and was easy to set up. Just open the seal, spread out the foam on the center of the bed, come back in a few hours and it's almost all the way expanded to the edges of the mattress. Mine did not have any stains or weird smell as some reviews have mentioned. I really wanted my first night sleeping to be a full comfort experience, but it wasn't. I have a history of issues with my cervical spine and situations like a too-soft bed can aggravate my condition. Unfortunately, this was the case for me with this product. First laying down, it was super comfortable. The gel pad has a nice conform to the body and spring-back. But when I would try to sleep, my head would be so much higher than my body, it put strain on my neck and was not only uncomfortable it would start to pinch nerves in my neck causing arm pain and numbness. This occurred with or without using a pillow. (Note: I know this is a ME problem and not a mattress problem.) After a couple of nights I decided to take off the gel pad and just use the 2 inch pillowtop. MAGIC! I now had exactly what I needed, some plush topping of my existing mattress and all pressure points eliminated. The loft in the pillowtop is perfect for me. I've been sleeping on it for 2 months now and it's still just as fluffy as when I first took it out of the box. When I change the sheets, it puffs right back up. I contacted the company to find out if they sell the pillowtop by itself, should I want another one, but it's not sold separately. The company answered my query within minutes and I was appreciative of the customer service. Even though the gel pad didn't work for me, I am very happy with the quality of the product and would recommend to someone who is in the market for a mattress topper. (I gave the gel mattress to a relative who always wanted to try one) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: because I strongly believe that the measly 4 negative reviews out of all the 100s of positive ones, and the "all negative q&a's", are probably from competitors and that's just not fair. Give credit where credit is due especially if helpsbithers with PAIN. And I have no stock in this company I don't know anything about this company I'm just someone who bought it because it had so many good reviews. I ONLY buy products based on reviews. I could care less with the advertisement says. Original review: After wasting 10s of thousands on mattresses in my 26 years as an adult, (back in 1996 when I turned 18, a decent Simmons beauty rest cost over $2,000-4,000. & all non water or gel beds all still had springs) and my first 1 spent a year savings from fast food jobs on sagged nearly an inch! I slept on the hard floor for 9 years while working as a pro athlete doing some incredible damage to my back muscles and joints. I have suffered immeasurably and memory foam mattresses were the hot new thing, I wasted an equal amount on various models of those. Only a sleep number finally brought "some relief". I bought this because 1 review after another said they finally had NO PAIN and the like. I've had it for 3 weeks now & I'm going to ditto all those comments. It doesnt matter what kind of matress you have you HAVE TO HAVE THIS TOPPER. Everyone one on the planet should be entitled to this simple, yet amazingly ugly, miracle pad. I feel like I'm floating while I sleep. I end up kicking my body pillow out from under my knee an hour into sleeping bcus it's not needed & just annoying me now. I also dont even need my head pillow as the topper fills the neck dip in perfectly and I can finally sleep on my back and have my spine aligned perfectly. I still have to stop & stretch & twist my muscles randomly throughout the day, but right after getting this my back pain became less & less each night and now I have none at all while I sleep. Or the 1st few hours I'm awake. It won't cure all your pain from having to stand, walk or sit during the day, but this is as good as it gets for sleep pain relief. I'm going to buy a few for my elderly neighbors, as this is one of those things that everyone should just be entitled to, like dental insurance, it should come with life. Be in your little "welcome to being alive, this is gonna hurt" kit, when your born. It's soo amazing. I feel guilty being only 46 and knowing I have elderly neighbors sleeping 2 doors down on crappy mattresses with a walmart pad. And even tho they could afford one of these, they're none the wiser. No one believes you until they experience it themself. But anyone can afford the $130 because once you sleep on it you're going to realize you'd sell your 1st born for one. My favorite part is I can sit on it and watch movies but soon as I lay down it fills in the previous indentations in seconds. I know all memory foam does that, eventually. But this one is just different. It works. Like some Alien intelligence a million years more advanced than us engineered it in a test tube. It also stays cold and has a feeling unlike anything I've ever felt. Sometimes I stand in my bedroom doorway & just wonder about it. The feeling is like cool wet gel that always stays about 60 degrees and wet mushy gooey blue weird crap plus gooey memory foam all formed into millions of pin sized drops or something who knows. To say its cutting edge is a collasal understatement. It's ridiculously refreshing and Ridiculously heavenly. I never wanna be away from it. And I'm no longer in a hurry to finish growing old and die anymore. ... show more

I replaced a three inch memory foam topper with this and while it is not nearly as firm or thick feeling - it does a good job and if comfortable. The main thing is not to freak out when you see the foam - I almost immediately boxed back up because I was like no way is thing going to fit on my queen. It was small and had big wrinkles in it. My last one was nothing like this one. BUT, I waited and it did indeed expand. BTW after being out of package for about 6 hours, it was still expanding and I slept on it anyways.
