    • A Comfortable Memory Foam Topper at a Reasonable Price

I definitely know what its like to read through zillions of reviews and still be unsure. Especially since memory foam toppers are usually very heavy and almost impossible to repackage in the event of a return. Let me preface this by saying I'm no stranger to memory foam, and have owned various one, two, and four inch memory foam pads, and after 2 months of sleeping on it, I can safely say this one works for me. SIZE: I needed a king topper that was exactly 76 x 80 inches---I don't like pads that are cut a few inches shorter on all sides, because they're so uncomfortable when you're sitting on the edge of the bed to put socks on! This one fits a King bed and standard King sheets perfectly. SUPPORT: It's a comfortable medium thickness and density--I dont wake up with aches and pains, but I don't struggle to change positions or move around like I do with a 3-4 inch pad. I've had 1-2 inch pads that were less dense--they didnt do enough to improve comfort, but super-thick pads usually left me too hot and too immobilized. At a 3 lb density, this 2 inch pad gives me the right level of support and comfort. IS IT HOT? Well, most memory foam pads end up being kind of hot. But this one is way, way better than some. It's warm, but not a sauna. Pro tip: I've found that if you put your memory foam topper OVER your mattress, but UNDER one of those normal fiber-filled, elasticated mattress pads that go under your sheets--that it cuts down the overheating factor enormously, and has the added benefit of ensuring the foam topper doesn't slide around. HOW MUCH OF A PAIN WOULD IT BE TO RETURN THIS IF YOU HAD TO? The King size was definitely heavy, but not so heavy that I couldn't handle it all by myself. It came in a very compact box though, and the topper itself was tightly encased in a Tyvek-like wrapper that kept it compressed. Once you slice that wrapper off, it quickly inflates itself in a matter of minutes, and I do think it could be a bit of a drama to squeeze it back into the original box. (I think you might be able to fold it into a giant garbage bag, and then systematically roll out the air from one side to the other like a sleeping bag.) VALUE: After looking at dozens of similar products, and hundreds of reviews, I think I made the right choice. There are cheaper toppers out there, but many of them are lower density foam. After 2 months, I don't see any signs of deterioration, and the added warmth is bearable. Would I repurchase and recommend to others? Yes, absolutely. ----Update Jan 2017---- I've had this on my bed for over a year at this point, and it's still in great shape. The foam hasn't started to break down, disintegrate, get sticky, or anything else. It's pretty much exactly like it was on Day 1, except for a little tiny bit of yellowing along the edges, which I think is par for the course with memory foam. (We're talking one centimeter of border or so--and I seem to remember that most memory foams eventually do this, or deepen in color overall.) It's still supportive and comfortable, and I still have it arranged OVER the mattress, and UNDER a polyester mattress pad, so that it all stays firmly in place. If I had a reason to buy another another one, I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase this exact one. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had previously bought this when I was in the Army and used it to save my back while deployed to Afghanistan and had to sleep o he worst of mattresses. This topper is life saver! I loved it then and just slept on it again last night and I still love it. I had been about to pull the trigger on one of the cheaper $50 ones, when I noticed most issues with those were that they do not last. That's when I realized I already knew exactly what I needed and wanted even if I had to pay $30 more. This topper is durable and springs back quickly right after pressure is relieved. It's durable, but these are not super light weight. They have some heft to them, especially in the bigger sizes like queen. These will not crack and I know from experience that if they get wet, they will dry just fine without breaking apart like cheap foam pads. Please look at the attached pics and videos for a better idea of this great pad. About 15 min to get to its full size. No smell. Holds some heat, but worth it for the comfort it provides. ... show more

Size: Queen Style: 2-inch Cooling Gel Memory Foam
I like a fairly firm mattress, but I have arthritis in my hip and am a side sleeper, so I wondered if a mattress topper would help. I ordered an "Amazon's choice" product and had the worst sleep of my life, so I thought maybe mattress toppers aren't for me. After reading the reviews for this product, though, I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! It added some cushioning to my mattress without making me feel as if I were sleeping on a feather bed. The biggest downside was that it made the bed a lot warmer, but I bought a Sealy Cool Comfort mattress pad and that really helped. It has a slight chemical odor that took about a week to go away. I have a very sensitive nose and it really didn't bother me. You could probably get the odor to go away faster if you let the pad air out on another bed for a few days; I used it right away. I liked this mattress topper so much I bought one for the guest bedroom as well. Another plus: It's a U.S. - made product. ... show more
