After reviewing different dumbbells for about a month I finally pulled the trigger on these and I am very pleased. They switch weight smoothly and haven’t had any issues with the weights being off/not locking in. The grips are about the same size as a regular 45lb bar so even smaller hands can use these. The 2 end pieces are durable plastic so I’d imagine they’d bust/crack if you drop them or if you’re one of those gym people that toss the weights after a set……. Unless you’re Ronnie Coleman or Arnold then there’s no reason to be tossing them around like that anyways. One of my pictures attached to this review is my foot next to the dumbbells, I wear a women’s size 7 so if you have a wife around that size, just imagine them next to her foot for reference lol what I’m getting at here is they are quite long, much longer than a regular dumbbell but I haven’t had any issues with using them for almost any exercise. A few years ago I sold my Bowflex dumbells in a move and have always regretted it. Now they are way more expensive than when I bought them. I went looking for a substitute and found these. They had good reviews and an incredible price. I've used them for a week now and I love them. With the bowflex you had to turn a selector at each end of each dumbell. With these you set them in the cradle, twist the grips on each and yank them up. Very slick. The selector mechanism works smooth as silk and makes weight changes instantly. The weights are held securely while working out. The grip fits nicely in my hand. This was a great purchase, I would not trade them for my old weights, which are 3 times the price now. ... show more

These weights arrived 3 days early. The quality is superb and their easy to manage. If your disciplined enough to work out at home these are a great addition to your weight training routine. It's easy to rotate between weight sizes and the grip is comfortable. Their not to bulky for me and I absolutely love that they come with their own individual holding tray. I like the durability of these dumbbells though you won't get the squeeze at the top of your lift, whether chest or shoulder presses. Takes getting used to. Click and lock feature is smooth so far, hope it stays this way. All in all worth the price.

Robust and holds up! I purchased the 55lbs set and was confused on the different weights you can change through. 11, 22, 33, 44, 55 is an odd choice to be sure. To really complete a set, you do need the 5-20 set as well
