We bought a 2014 RAM 1500 two years ago and it only came with one key. We went to the local dealership and asked how much it would be to get a second key made... They wanted $624!! We declined LOL. A few weeks ago that original keyfob started to malfunction - it would lock or unlock if you barely touched the keys at anytime. Time to get another key. We gave this a chance based on the reviews and OMG IT WORKED!! I honestly was not convinced it would, but it was so easy to install and it worked the first time! This product worked great. My son's truck keys had begun acting up and would randomly start, lock, and unlock his truck. I had looked on the web to see if it was something that I could buy the keys and set up myself. Everywhere I looked told me things like click this button this many times and stand on your head. I wasn't about to trust it because there wasn't a single person on youtube that had done it that way. If you look at the key fobs on here they say that they must be set by a dealer or a locksmith. I found this on a youtube video and started looking for it. My son's truck was in the list of vehicles that this would work for. I decided to take a chance because it was either this or $250 per key to get them from even the local Ace Hardware. Plus it would take up to a week for the key to come in. My son doesn't live at home and was coming to visit. I purchased this and two spare keys. They both arrived the day my son got home. It took me about 10 mins to go through the instructions and know how to do it. Then it took about 5 mins per key. This worked great. I didn't need a locksmith or to go to the dealer. I plan on using this again if I run into any issues like this with any other vehicle that we have. I do recommend giving it a shot it could save you hundreds of dollars. ... show more

    • Don't buy if you have broken OE fob

Product is pretty much useless if you have a not working fob because it can not be programmed the new fob they give you. It needs one working fob because it copy's your OE key Fob pin to put in the new Fob they give you but if your OE is dead then forget it because they can't program the new fob with your pin that only the dealer and locksmith could generate because they pay for dodgers program they use. I work at a Hyundai dealer as a master technician and we have a new pin generated every time we install new keys so to get it you need to be on and have a HMA number with password and I work there and I am a tech so I get a HMA number. Locksmiths pay for the same program. This company sends you used Fobs that where broken or opened before even the company that makes the fobs said Toms keys does that sometimes so most likely you'll get a key that doesn't work. If they ever do program a car is only if you want to added a extra fob which most people do not only if they lost one but in most cases like mine the OE fob just stopped working and you need to replace it so this kit is useless for most people. I tried two kits, customer service is clueless about cars and not technicians just people reading the manual like you would.I would not recommend just save the money and buy one from the dealer or get a aftermarket fob new and have the dealer program it. ... show more

    • I didn't believe it but it works

I've had one key for my 2010 challenger for over 10 years. Not wanting to spend 300 bucks at the dealer I went out my way to make sure I didn't loose the key. Fast forward I see this product pop up on my YouTube, look it up on Amazon and the reviews where better then great. I said i rather spend $100 over $300 at the dealership. I read the instructions and tried it and it didn't work the so I YouTube a few times and realized I didn't turn the car completely on the first time. Tried it again the next day and it worked like a charm. The hardest part was finding a place to cut the spare key that comes with it because sometime sthe cutting machine at lowes or home depot may not recognize it but home depot got me right free of charge since your not actually buying anything. The fob works like a charm and only took me 10 mins. I did notice the distance to use it may vary as i picked up i have to be closer to my car then usual. I will say touché to the company for making sure it only works for the vehicle it's programed to to prevent from using on other vehicles.. buy this product, no need to look at others ... show more

Waited a few months before actually trying to do this for fear that it would screw up the one working FOB and I wouldn't be able to drive the vehicle anymore (without calling a lock smith). Glad to say that this fear was not warranted and the process was straight forward and easy. Read the instructions (multiple times) and then followed them...it worked! Haven't had an issue since. Also, I like the fact that if I need this function again on this vehicle, I can just get another key fob and won't have to purchase the programming module again. This was a concern of mine because the actual circuit board in my original 2011 Durango is what failed in the previous key FOB. Overall, excellent product and experience for me! ... show more
