Wanted a mat that could cope with the heat being put out on the griddle. This does and it doesn't. It fits well and is well designed but the heat from the griddle coming out the sides under the plate makes the mat warp during use. After it cools down again it drops back into place and the mat is doing what I want it to which is why I gave it 4 stars - just doesn't look pretty during cooking! ... show more

Great addition to my grill. Makes clean up much easier and gives a place to place the tools when grilling. Seems to be good quality, very easy to clean and durable. Will use on several camping trips later to really see how durable it is.

I just got an outdoor griddle, and quickly got annoyed with the side tables getting greasy every time the flipper was set down. Then if you need to set down a bowl or something, the bottom of the bowl gets in the grease and then if anyone moves the bowl, the mess spreads. Super annoying (especially if you have a significant other using the same griddle and they aren't super tidy). Adding this silicone mat was a no-brainer. It easily solved the problem. Even though a mess is a mess, I'd much rather have it on something removeable than on my new griddle. Plus, the removeable mat adds versatility. I can easily pick up the whole thing, if need be, to make room for bowls or trays, and there's not going to be any grease on the griddle's side table. This mat contains the mess. The other big perk is that it makes a designated area for all the messy things, so they tend to stay more contained. I think this mat is a very reasonable price ($13 as of this review) and that you get a good value for your money. It's a little thing that makes a big difference in keeping things clean and orderly. The material used makes it easy to roll up and store, without distorting it when unrolled. Lays flat and has good weight to it. The tall top dividers do a good job of holding utensils, while any liquids/oils can drip down into the grooved base. Easy to clean with warm soapy water.

This Silicon BBQ Grill Mat from BOSSTONE is a great grill accessory for protecting your grill or griddle side tray/shelf and this mat is super easy to clean after a grilling session. Before getting this silicon mat I needed to place all my utensils, sauces and platers directly on the side burner cover which was difficult to clean and easy to scratch. This silicon mat won’t slip, doesn’t stain and is heat resistant so placing hot tools on it won’t burn or melt the mat. The question is, how sanitary are the shelves of your grill...probably not unless you clean them after and before you cook out. And do people really bring out the disinfectant to properly sanitize them? Well you should, but it doesn't always happen. This silicone matt can be tossed in the dishwasher or cleaned in the kitchen sink keeping your landing surface of your grill germ free. Then you're ready to grill safely for the next outdoor event. The grooved design keeps raw juices off your tools by resting them above the flat surface. You could also place the handles in the grooves so that the fork tines or spatula blade hang over the shelf like my husband does. The grooves keep them secure so they don’t roll or fall off and the ends aren’t touching anything. There is also a special section that can be used for jars of sauces and spice. So ask yourself, if it reduces the chance of making you sick...isn't that worth it? ... show more
