Having a grill that texts when it's set to temp, or cooled enough to cover, once it's off is just the beginning. The smoke has always been perfect on all that we've tried! Purchased for smoking and has a griddle on top of that. Using controls to monitor really helps when smoking brisket. The app works great and all smoking can be monitored for time, temperature using it. So far this is great.

Purchased this as a replacement for a pellet grill. Easy to use and waaay better to impart smoke. Also, there is no replacement for charcoal. Pellets just never gave an impressive flavor, and I tried many brands. See a video review on our YT channel, Two Doods Reviews

First offset lump charcoal smoker, have always had a gas grill and would cook out 4-5 days a week all year. I have been cooking out and have been really enjoyed the smoked ribs, pork shoulder, beef and pork roast, chicken, burgers, hotdogs and some of the best steaks I have ever had. Will be smoking my first brisket this weekend. only 1 small issue is the temperature, all the videos show how great the temperature stays at the selected setting. I find that it is 5-10 degrees off and sometimes will drop 20-25 degrees and then come back up after I shake the hopper or open and use a stick to move the lump charcoal as it gets stuck and does not fall. But I have the work around for the temperature, if you know it is 5-10 lower just set it 5-10 degrees higher and it generally works. Still have to manipulate the coal and on a long smoke if you don't keep an eye on it it can go out and you may not know when it went out. Overall I would recommend for quality, functionality and performance. As far as durability will have to let you know in a couple of years if it is good or next year if it's not. ... show more

Great performance. Just a few random issues that could be avoided if the manufacturer would provide a more detailed list of troubleshooting resolutions. According to the reviews, everyone seems to have the same issues that have been solved with a simple answer that takes way to long to find.
