The meticulous packaging to prevent damage in transit was the hardest part. Out of the box, both handles fastened to the cover/lid in seconds with a DeWalt. The lid was a snug fit as soon as I placed it on the grill. This is exactly what I wanted. None of the hinged lids that I researched appealed to me. Sturdy construction, easy to put together(just the handles), looks great, protects the surface. Pro's: Easy to install Sturdy, not thin Protects the cook top Protects from water and dampness Cons: Nothing at this time. In the end, I did not attach the lid to the unit. I just set it on the side when the grill is in use. This item helps to retain the cleanliness of the cooktop. This allows for less maintenance as at times the grill covers allow moisture in and such, so this is double protection so you don't have to re-season the grill top as much. Great unit. I ordered this as our Black Stone did not come with a cover. This was packaged well and was all put together out of the box. It is very sturdy and not too heavy. It does have brackets underneath that you can use to hang it off the side of the grill. Wonderful product!
