  • LOVE IT

Works great. It is a pain to unpack and it SUPER heavy. Had been debating on buying, but I’m glad I did

The product works really good but I found it for a $1,500 at Walmart after I had purchased this one.

  • Inaccurate readings and not truly motorized
Color: Black
First of all, getting this machine out of the shipping crate is really difficult so be prepared for that to be your first workout. Secondly, all the display readings are inaccurate. It counted 1 calorie per minute, the heart rate will only read 72 bpm no matter what, and the stair count is way off. But the most disappointing part was discovering that this was not a truly motorized stairclimber (it doesn’t propel on I it s own) it is more of a self propelling machine that allows you to move at the level designated. Mine also arrived to two inch long dents on the end of two of the stairs in the same spot, which leads me to believe it was damaged when they were packaging it. There is no contact information available to call the seller so now that I have scheduled a return I haven’t a clue how they expect me to put the machine back in a huge wooden crate that is one time use since all the clamps are destroyed when you open it. I don’t recommend this headache at all! ... show more

  • Good price, good quality
Color: Black
Arrived quickly. Great price for the quality. Really impressed. Easy to set up. The only hard part was how heavy the machine was and moving it around. So far so good.

  • The effort required to burn calories is the same as it is on a $10,000 stair climber
Color: Black
This is a stair climber exercise machine and the stair climbing function works as advertised. If it lasts for four years, it will be cheaper than going to my gym. I get the same exercise as I did using the commercial grade machine at my gym. I can't tell the difference except maybe this machine is a little noisier than the one at the gym. One reviewer said the stairs aren't motor driven. Well, I don't know of any brand of stair machines that are. The main reason is that they don't need to be. Think about it. The only time you'd need a motor to power the steps is if there was no weight to move them down. I.e. if you weren't on the steps, and why would you need to have the steps moving if you weren't on them. All the motor needs to do need is provide resistance to keep the speed of the stairs at what you've set, and it does that very well. So here's what you need to know before you decide if owning this machine is worth it. 1. it weighs almost a quarter ton. You won't be able to move it around without the assistance of two strong men with lifting harnesses at a minimum. 2. You will need a claw hammer and crowbar to un-crate it. I did not find this task difficult. 3. Some assembly is required. All the tools to do the easy assembly are included with the machine. 4. The machine comes with a tub of grease to be applied every 6 months, but the instructions don't say where. It came with grease on the chains, so I assume that's where I apply the grease. 5. Compared to higher end machines, the control panel is bare bones. Most computed functions are absent. If your main purpose in having this machine is exercise, that isn't a huge problem. The step counter is accurate, exact actually. You can't set the steps per minute per se, but I determined that the lowest speed setting is 29 steps per minute, and each increment adds 9 steps per minute. For example a speed setting of nine equates to 8 * 9 + 29 = 101 steps per minute. The calorie counter appears to be completely bogus, but you can compute calories from the step count: kcal = 0.0009 * your weight in lbs. * step count. Feet climbed = step count * 0.708. 6. As was the case with another reviewer, the heart rate function on my machine doesn't work. I called the importer(?) and they said they didn't have parts to repair the control board, but they could replace the entire stair climber under warranty. Given the difficulty of getting the current machine out of the house and the ordeal of getting the new one in, unpacked and assembled, I suggested they allow me to purchase an independent heart rate monitor and refund the cost. They refused, apparently preferring to bear the additional shipping costs for returning one quarter ton machine and sending another to me. Either that, or they hoped I would give up in disgust and go away, which I did. I purchased a Polar 10 heart rate monitor for about $50. I also cancelled my service contract. I've been using this machine for about a month now without incident. I'll be happy with it if it lasts. ... show more
