    • You need to fabricate a better hitch.
The hitch has a very weak spring, designed to help prevent the bike from being tipped over if the trailer hits something. Nice in theory, however it makes the trailer unstable and easy to roll over, making it more dangerous. I used a pice of thick wall rubber hose to improve performance. It allows it to bend but reduces its ability to rotate so it's not easy to roll over. Also the short toung length caused instability over 25mph if you plan on going that fast. ... show more

Buyer beware. After a year of ownership, and with 50 years of building, maintaining and racing bicycles, let me unequivocally state that this trailer is cheap trash. First of all, the item shows the dimensions between the rails in the illustration instead of showing that they are indeed the OVERALL dimensions. Next up, the claimed weight rating is a joke. At half the rated load weight, based on the item description, the wheels flex in toward the chassis. At the rated load weight, the wheels cant so much they seize on the frame. I installed a torsion bar to keep this from happening but this seems to only have served as a fulcrum to break all the spot welds between the chassis and frame so now the wheels rub on the frame unloaded. Its unusable, in other words. Furthermore, the supplied tires wore through completely to failure in less than 500 miles and had to be replaced. In the process of fixing that I discovered the rims were not prepared with tape and the inner tube was fully exposed to the sharp spoke backs. This is just bad bike build 101. Is summation, the item listing had multiple errors that made it appear far better than it is. The build quality is terrible. And it did not last even a thousand miles. I use my trailer every day. Easy to pull, even carrying 100 pounds. I don't even use my car anymore. staying healthy and not destroying the planet. How could you go wrong by staying in shape and lowering your carbon footprint.

I got it today put together easily grandson jump in just to test it real quick. Moves with the bike perfectly so far. I think this will be a asset to my traveling Florida camping and trials. Enough space for what I will need.
