My boyfriend has been bugging me to go bike riding with him but I never wanted to because I didn't want to leave my little fur baby behind. I didn't want to just attach her leash to my bike handle and ride with her along side because it's just such a dangerous idea. So we decided to get this pet trailer so we could take her with us safely. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. And compared to other pricier pet trailers out there that are hundreds of dollars, I have no doubt that I made the right choice in this one. It was only $85.00 when I paid for it. Worth every penny and then some! It only took a few minutes for us to put it together. My boyfriend is an avid cyclist and kept praising how well designed it is. They thought of everything when they designed this pet trailer! There's a small little strap and hook to attach to her harness so she doesn't get too far if she tries to jump out. My boyfriend mentioned some mechanism on the wheels that help absorb the bumpiness on the road to ensure a smoother ride for our pup. There's a small pocket on the top if you want to store the pins after taking it apart and folding up. All the features it is designed with are functional and practical. There aren't many bells and whistles on this and that's how we like it. It's very cute and the little flag is adorable. Aesthetically it is very tastefully designed. It's also very sturdy. I have a 23-25lb beagle and there is plenty of room inside for her and another dog if one of her buddies wanna hitch a ride. We put a blanket and some toys with her but she doesn't care. She just loves the feel of the wind blowing through her ears. She looks so cute riding in it and she really seems to enjoy it. (see pic) When we're done with our bike ride, it folds up nice and neat to store until next time. We have alternated with attaching the trailer to each of our bikes and we both felt that there was barely any extra weight we were pulling and it was very smooth. Neither of us felt a difference. He even fights with me over who gets to pull her on the bike! As others have mentioned there is a strong rubbery smell when we first unpacked it however it went away after letting it sit out of the box overnight. After our bike ride the next day the smell went away. It is not that big of a deal. So my boyfriend concluded there is no reason for us to drive anywhere from now on now that we have our bike riding solution for our little baby. All that's left now is to get her a little doggie helmet and we will be all set. :) ... show more

The only negative thing I've noticed so far, is that the wheel bearings appear to be inaccessible. I used to be a bike mechanic (many, many years ago), and thought that the wheels didn't turn as freely as I thought they should have, but tried spraying in some lubricant, and they turn fine now. I suspect that they call these "sealed bearings"... Overall the unit is pretty solid (like a Schwinn should be!) and should last for a while. I'd recommend getting some kind of mirror on your bike or to hang off your glasses so you can check on the dog as you ride without having to turn around completely. This is a fun way of carrying my dog without much trouble. The ride feels the same as before, just needing a little more room to make turns. ... show more

This was the perfect size for my boys, and it was easy to add in a second clip so they couldn't jump out. As others have noted, there's no padding to protect them from all the bumps. We added a little bed, but I'll probably try to rig up something with a big more shock absorption. My little guy is not into new things, so he didn't enjoy the ride so much. My bigger guy is more chill and probably would have been able to relax if he wasn't busy being used as a step stool. Overall though, this was easy to attach, easy to fold, and stable out on the rides. Really happy that the pups can join me for some bike rides now! ... show more

I ordered an extra restraining leash as we have two small dogs. This trailer is sturdy and the fabric good enough quality. Not dog chewing tuff, but catch'em in time and yell 'No!' tuff. The trailer mount on first glance appears hokey, but it actually works like a mini trailer hitch and though the angle appears cockeyed the trailer tracks and rides smooth with no back and forth. You have to slow down or the dogs get sick otherwise they enjoy the ride as we leave it unzipped enough for them to stick their heads out and see what's going on. I would recommend a second 'hitch' piece so that if you ride with a partner, you can share the load. Others more expensive but you can buy two of these for less than what others may charge for one. We add padding to the floor which is kind of flimsy. Still we like it! ... show more

We have a 18 pound dog that loves adventures but I don't have time to walk there and adventure over lunch. The trailer comes with a no slip pad .. but it is not padded. We will be adding a dog bed to cushion the bumps for her. So far so good. She is getting used to it. I have an electric bike and this hooks up just fine. Got a second mount so we can connect to my husbands bike too ... show more
