  • Great trailer
Trailer is great. Pulls easy. Holds a lot of gear. Trailer is made of steel. The ad had said aluminum. I am glad it is steel because I can weld it if needed. But steel will rust so will have to make sure to touch up with paint. For those that live near the ocean. You might want to look for a aluminum. one if keeping outside. If stored inside and used when needed the steel is fine. Just remember to rinse off and touch up paint when needed. Is a great trailer for Bike touring. You have the basket and the rack over wheel. Plus you can put panniers on it. It comes with attachments that screw onto your axle bolts. 10mm. You hook the trailer to those. If you have other axles or larger you when need to order the Bobs. The Rubber maid 24 gallon fits perfect. I believe they made it to fit it. Snug fit. It will not attach to rear axle of Ebike if you have rear motor. The wire for motor coming out gets in the way. You have to get creative and make something. Quietkat makes these trailers for their mid-drive ebikes. So with those rear axle is normal fat tire bike axle. ... show more

  • Not BOB compatable should be "Robert Axle Project " compatable
The main issue so far is the false claim of BOB compatibility. Not so... You need a Robert Axle Project (RAP) axle and QuietKat hardware kit from RAP, do NOT get the RAP BOB Trailer Bobbins. THE RAP "kit" consists of 2 m5 x 15mm SHCS, 2 m5 lock washers and 2 m5 Thick Flat Washers, DIN 7349. I bought some spare DIN 7349 washers at monsterbolt.com I bought this to transport supplies and tools for trail maintenance and repair projects at remote locations I saw one comment about noise. Yes mine initially made noise too, lubed it with TRI-FLOW® SUPERIOR LUBRICANT DRIP BOTTLE. Not a peep since I'd also use fresh blue LOCTITE 242 on all the screws and have all the wrenches you need to check all the hardware out on the trail Some of the construction seems a bit flimsy notably the welded attachment points for the arms to the basket and as stated in other reviews the shock mounting points UPDATE: 2/10/2023 The weld for the shock mount failed (see photo) , Fortunately it was not too far from the trailhead QuietKat sent a new trailer with improved weld (see Photo) My Opinion FWIW is it should be welded on both sides but what do I know. ... show more

  • NICE CONCEPT BUT POOR EXECUTION ... WELD QUALITY TERRIBLE ... CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TO IGNORE YOU!
The yoke assembly to attach this trailer to the bike axel was a poor design that was poorly welded to have the trailer tilting about 15 degrees to one side ... This huge tilt makes it difficult to control the trailer and is dangerous ... I am updating my review from 3 stars to one star after contacting Quietcat for a replacement yoke assembly ... In late August I spoke with their customer support representative and created an online support ticket for replacement and made suggestions for improving the yoke assembly ... After six weeks of ignoring me, they closed the support ticket without any attempt to resolve the faulty yoke assembly ... So they get this update. Don't buy this trailer as it is dangerous and cannot hold the recommended load (the yoke will bend at about 50 pounds. I am spending $120+ for a welder to rebuild the yoke assembly to my standards (I am a retired structural designer so I know what needs to be done) ... Absolutely horrible customer support ... More like "customer ignore" or "customer abuse" 2nd UPDATE ... The weld for the suspension broke and jammed the trailer into the wheel nearly causing me to wreck ... DO NOT BUY THIS TRAILER IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE ... EXTREMELY POOR WELD QUALITY!!! ... show more

  • Cheaply made.
For the amount of money this trailer costs I figured it would be stronger that the manufacturer would pack it better and that it would come with tools for assembly. It don't. Also the pivot point where the shock is with the design of this trailer it cannot be tightened up enough to keep the tire centered it wiggles all over the road , I'll have to redesign the pivot point to make it work properly. The axle was damaged during shipping the the axle and nut were sticking out of the box and the axle was damaged, I was able to fix that. Where the steering links are, the welds is shoddy and I'll have to make a new bracket top and bottom and weld them on just so it will be dependable otherwise I'll have to replace it(the whole trailer) before the year is over. ... show more

  • Looks good, instructions suck. Broken finder when unboxed
I liked the ideal of this, but it was delayed getting delivered and came with a broken fender and very poor instructions. The bolt support wasn't wasn't the right size for the fat tire axle shaft. Had to drill holes in frame and fine the right bolts to hole it on. Hope this will be useful, have yet to field test this. ... show more

  • Nice
We have a Radrover, it has fat tires and a hub motor so my husband welded little metal pieces with holes that line up to the fender holes to fit on each side of the frame which the trailer can snap on to. It is pretty awesome. A little bigger than we thought, but good turn radius.

  • It's good. Not perfect.
I like it. It burley and light enough. It is roomy enough to fit a large or x-large dry bag. The ability to put paniers over the back wheel is a magnificent touch. I don't like it near as much as my old bob ibex, but that got stolen and I can't seem to find them for sale anymore so here I am buying this one. It says it uses a bob axle, not the one I have. I need to get a different bob axle apparently. It is probably perfect behind an electric bike. I'm using it behind a mountain bike and touring bike, depending on the season, and it seems a little heavy for that, but it's weight cap is very large, so the plus for added utility offsets the minus for increased weight. I'm not thrilled about pulling the thing with a three inch wide tire on the back. I think im going to have to swap that out. My daughter and I will be doing some longish road tours this summer with it, including the grand loop in Yellowstone. I'll update after that. ... show more
