This product keeps my sewing machine pedal from sliding away on the hard surface floor as I sew. Some of the other products heavily advertised for this purpose do not work on hard floors, being designed for carpeted surfaces. I’m glad to have found a solution that works for me.

I was skeptical because there were no reviews on this item when I purchased it. I have another brand mat under my smaller machine, but needed a much larger mat for my quilting machine. My machine is notorious for vibrating, without a mat the machine would be in my lap after a row of stitches but this mat keeps it securely in place and somewhat reduces vibrations. There were a few white marks on the top from the mat being tightly folded for shipping, but for me it’s a non issue since it keeps my machine from moving a fraction of an inch. Glad I made the choice to give this a try, I would have had to pay double for a mat this size in the brand I usually buy ... show more

I bought this to keep my sewing machine pedal from sliding. The mat doesn't slide much on my wood floor, however, the pedal slides right off from it. I will find a way a way to stick the pedal to the cheesy mat. I would suggest that it not be purchased as it is pretty much useless.

I am one of the few of my generation that seems to sew still, and I have a sewing machine in my home office. The room is carpeted, so the foot pedal moves around and gets really annoying. I bought this to try to keep it in place, but I mostly just chase this around on the carpet now with the foot pedal on top of it.
