Quilt piecing is a breeze. Sewed beautifully right out of the box. The Artspira WiFi embroidery designs are easy to use and transfer to the machine. No problems with the embroidery stitches first run through. I recommend a longer stitch length so the fabric doesn’t bunch. Little bit of a learning curve with the computer options. But easy to find help online or in the manual. For the price this machine works just as well as the higher end machines. Yes you only have a four inch embroidery hoop.     • Great Machine, & I know how to balance the tension!
Style: New Wireless Model: SE700
From buying/using this machine, to reading other reviews... I have learned that this machine requires the perfect balance of fabric type and sewing needle to equal out the tension. When I first got my machine, the tension was off. I tried adjusting the stitch settings and length, which is sometimes successful, but I was still struggling to get the tension to normal. I watched youtube videos on how to adjust the bobbin case for this model, which was useless because this specific machine does not allow for bobbin case adjustments. Sometimes switching the thread itself helps with tension, but for mine it didn't. After 6 hours of taking apart my machine, fidgeting with the sewing materials... I now know it better than I ever have before, and learned all I needed to do was switch the needle. Once I switch the needle to 90/14, it worked like a charm for regular cotton/polyester fabric. In the machine operations manual, it states the different type of fabrics to use with the different types of needles. I would pay close attention to that!! (I have not tried embroidery projects, only sewing so far). ... show more

They refused to send me a copy to my address and only offered to have me pick one up at a authorized dealer (which is too far away) or I could have one emailed to me.
