  • Love these seeds they never disappoint!
I buy the every year for my garden! They are easy to grow and they grow quickly! Great value as well compared to buying at the store! Great variety of veggies always get big and look great!!

  • These are THE best! Am buying again for 2020
I bought this set of seeds last year & couldn't be happier. High germination rates & unlike the seeds you buy from Home Depot, Lowes etc. these will produce seeds that germinate. I only tried a few of them over the winter to see if they would take & they did. The carrots we left in the ground over the winter & pulled them out a few days ago and they were HUGE! One of the carrots alone weight 2.72 pounds!!! They were absolutely the best carrots I've ever tasted, and were packed full of flavor & tasted much better than what you buy in the store. The cukes were huge, as were the pumpkins, one of which weighed a respectable 11 lbs! Th We left a few overripe tomatoes in the dirt & surprise! They're coming up in the middle of May all by themselves :) Burpee seeds and such GMOs no longer self-germinate. This means you have to come back every year to buy new seeds. These are probably the sweetest tomatoes I've eaten since I was a child & we had a 2 acre garden. These tasted so different from the tomatoes one buys at the grocery store which have been packed in nitrogen to preserve them for the trip. I grow enough to not just slice & serve, but to put up jars of various flavored tomato sauces all with no preservatives or genetically modified ingredients. It's amazing how vibrant a spaghetti sauce can be when made from fresh tomatoes versus Prego or any other sauce. I bought these last year and am buying them again for 2020. Higher praise I cannot give ... show more

  • Great variety of necessities seeds
Very elaborate, all in one; with all of the main herbs, veggies and even fruits. Absolutely loved it. Wish rhe envelopes were resealable so that no seeds are to get lost. Just tape shut.

  • Growing great, didn't receive all that's listed or in the pictures
I'm having great success with these. Everything has sprouted so quickly, in a matter of days (except the herbs, to be expected). However, I really expected to get what was listed and/or what was in the photos. It's confusing because the description and the photos have different items. I still received 43 packets so it's not a huge deal but I specifically chose this item over similar ones from other sellers because of what was listed (silly me). I didn't get lavender, Rutgers tomatoes, kohlrabi, butternut squash, and a handful of others that I can't remember. Also many of them are not the variety listed in the description, which is less annoying but still something to note. So if you don't mind a little randomness, and getting a good variety of great seeds, go for it. ... show more

  • A Review of Black Duck Brand's Assorted Vegetable & Herb Seed Packets
Calling all green thumbs and aspiring gardeners! If you're itching to get your hands dirty and witness the magic of sprouting life, Black Duck Brand's Assorted Vegetable & Herb Seed Packets might just be your ticket to garden paradise. I took the plunge with this massive seed collection, boasting 43 varieties and over 10,000 seeds, and here's my experience: The Good: Variety is the Spice of Life (Garden): This set is bursting with an insane selection of vegetables and herbs. From classic tomatoes and peppers to adventurous kale and dill, there's something for every taste and culinary whim. You'll have enough variety to keep your taste buds and harvest basket happy all season long. Non-GMO Goodness: Grow your own food with peace of mind. These seeds are all heirloom and 100% non-GMO, meaning you can enjoy wholesome, chemical-free produce straight from your backyard. Germination Grand Slam: The seeds boast a high germination rate within 7-14 days, ensuring you'll see those tiny green sprouts popping up sooner rather than later. Watching life unfold before your eyes is truly rewarding! Mylar Packaging: The included Freedom Farms Vegetable Set Mylar Bag is a fantastic bonus. It keeps your precious seeds safely stored away from moisture and light, ensuring their viability for years to come. The Not-So-Good: Seed Lottery: While the estimated seed count is helpful, it's not an exact science. Some packets might be a bit more generous than others, so don't be surprised if your tomato bounty varies from the numbers listed. Planning Puzzle: With such a vast selection, planning your garden layout can feel a bit overwhelming. Research planting times and spacing requirements for each variety to avoid overcrowded chaos and maximize your harvest. Mystery Seeds: The descriptions provided are basic, focusing on variety names and not much else. If you're a gardening newbie, some of the less common herbs and vegetables might leave you scratching your head, requiring additional research. Overall: Black Duck Brand's Assorted Vegetable & Herb Seed Packets are a delightful bargain for experienced and novice gardeners alike. The sheer variety, high germination rate, and non-GMO commitment make it a fantastic entry point into the world of homegrown goodness. Just be prepared for a bit of seed count guesswork and some light research for the more obscure herb offerings. Recommendation: If you're looking for an affordable and diverse seed collection to kickstart your garden, this Black Duck Brand variety pack is a fantastic choice. Just remember, a little planning and research go a long way in ensuring a bountiful harvest! Happy planting! ... show more

  • Mixed quality and lack of consistency
some seed such as radishes didnt produce edible roots. The sweet corn seed didnt produce sweet corn. it did produce small ears of corn but not sweet at all. some tomato seed produced something other than what was listed in the package. The squash produced, as did green beams and peas, okra, sunflowers. ... show more

  • Awesome!
Right now, I'm growing watermelons and pumpkins. I planted them a week ago (8 seeds of both) and all 8 pumpkins and all 8 watermelons are already sprouting nicely! They have nice instructions on the back of the packs of how far apart to place them, germination time, etc. that's helpful. Different packs for different veggies have different number of seeds. The pumpkin pack only had 8 seed whereas the watermelon had a little more. But they served their purpose so I can't complain but definitely keep that in mind if you're wanting to plant a lot of something. ... show more
