Description

Enjoy the beauty of Majesty Palm Tree, which features solid, green foliage and is fantastic for large spaces. Grow Majesty Palm Tree in bright, indirect sunlight. Water it about once a week with approximately 2-3 cups. Ensure excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let Majesty Palm Tree sit in water or saturated soil. When dispatched, it’s about 36-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Majesty Palm Tree arrives in a black, 10-inch grower pot. To help with water drainage, this container does have holes. Majesty Palm Tree is generally a slow grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When Majesty Palm Tree outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 9b-11. Exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact. Came perfectly packaged and protected. Palm is in beautiful full condition and in its glory. About 4ft high or so. The fawns are all healthy. Root ball excellent.     • It died!
I have many plants, i even have orchids! I bought this plant and when i took it out of the box one side was already brown, I thought since i have a green thumb that i would be able to revive this little tree, There was no saving it no matter what i did. I have never lost a plant like this, It was not cheap it came packaged in a large box but it was partially dying, I was so disappointed. It was to late to get a refund so i took a lost.     • My majesty palm is infested with millipedes
Update: costa farms issued a brand new plant and shipped it immediately after they returned my inquiry, no questions asked. I discarded the larvae infested plant. The one I have currently has had no issues so far. I plan to update this if Costa Farms decides to respond to my inquiry with them however, it was submitted and they have had enough time to send a response and have not yet. I received a majesty palm at the beginning of August, the plant had two main growths. The soil stayed moist throughout for the past few weeks of me checking. The top soil dried out about a week ago and I lightly watered it, not enough to saturate though because my house is over 60% humidity and it wasn't baking in sunlight. I had it in a north facing window temporarily. I woke up about a week and a half ago and the smaller palm of the plant collapsed and the bulb structure was rotten, two days ago the rest of the plant collapsed with a rotten structure. The plant pot is dropping millipedes both mature and young, the entire soil is infested with them as is the root and bulb structure of the plant which explains why it rotted so quickly. This is a first for me, I've purchased Costa Farms plants in the past and I have never experienced worms/millipedes or infestations of any kind within the first 30 days of having a plant. This is really odd and super gross. I cannot make the plant come back from this, the whole thing is completely rotted out. I was considerably worried about the rare plants that I already own also becoming infested and I've had to now quarantine them to be sure that they don't end up rotting and the substrate they are planted in will need to be replaced. All of my non rare plants will also need to be repotted with new soil since I can't take any chances. I'm hoping I'll be able to update this and change my rating when they finally respond to make this right. I'm all for natural pest control but millipedes upon research sound like they have far more negative effects on the soil than benefits considering they feed on organic matter. I trusted the other reviews and so glad I did! This plant is gorgeous! Arrived with a little dirt thrown around in box (understandable of course) but that was it; otherwise arrived completely healthy at a great height- about 37” tall from dirt to top of plant. I ordered the 3-4’ option in grower pot and put it in a 10” pot (Bloem brand, which I love!) and it fits perfect! Looks exactly as pictures and is exactly what I wanted. Im new to plants so this is only my second purchase, but the first online. It was delivered quickly and when i unwrapped it, my plant was BEAUTIFUL. It is a wonderful addition to my living room. I've had it for a month now. The ends had started to brown and so I got worried, realized I was over watering it. Quickly remedied that and the browning slowed down and she's starting to look better. Packaged well, no damage, and the plant looks pretty good. Great height and room left to grow in the pot. The tips of some of the foliage are brown but nothing that can’t be helped with proper care! Really good price point too. A similar size was about $30 more at my local nursery.

    • Died within two months
This plant was beautiful: shipped well and arrived in great condition. Unfortunately, even with regular watering, a moisture detector designed for majesty palms, appropriate plant food and a window seat, this plant died within two months of receipt. I have dozens of different types of plants in my home, so I’m not inexperienced with care, and read up before every new addition. It was a bummer to lose such a large and beautiful plant: but reading other reviews it seems this is a common problem with this product. I suppose it’s all in how you look at it: this is more affordable than a bouquet of flowers and lasted 8 times as long. But for something so large are seemingly well rooted and established, it seems such a waste. If it lasted, it would be five stars; giving one for the shipping and handling and one for the state of the plant that arrived at my door. ... show more
