Place Little Swiss Monstera in a spot that receives bright light (5 or more hours of sunlight. This plant prefers indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight may burn the plant. Water when the top 2 inches of the soil are dry (about once every 7 to 10 days) and be sure all excess water drains away. If the container does not have holes, use approximately 1 cup (for 6in diameter container) of water, adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the plant sit in water or overly soggy soil. Height is approximately 12-Inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Little Swiss Monstera in a white, 6-inch diameter composite material pot. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. The plant is a moderate grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general- purpose fertilizer that is formulated for house plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the plant, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. Costa Farms plants are not intended for human or animal consumption. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

I've bought many Costa Farms plants over the years but this year is the 1st time I've bought on Amazon, NEVER AGAIN. I'm not delusional I don't expect a plant to come in excellent condition when shipped. I'm a plant whisperer so I don't mind nursing a traumatized green friend when they arrive, I haven't lost one until now. I've bought 3 plants through Amazon from Costa Farms the 1st 2 were palms and still MONTHS later have mealy bugs, I've had them in quarantine for about 6 months and because they're palms it's a freaking nightmare getting rid of them they literally get in the top of the trunks deep down and you have to repeat insecticide baths and chopping all their hair off over and over again. If you're lucky you may get rid of them on the 4th or 5th round providing the tree doesn't just give up and die. I'm invested in healing those two so I'm trying to get to the finish line. But THIS time I'm not chalking it up to a fluke, Costa Farms and this distributor have a SERIOUS problem and obviously they could care less. I ordered this polka dot begonia because our local nursery ran out and I don't know why it didn't dawn on me that I might have the same issue as the palms but honestly I've been dealing with trying to heal them for soooooo long that it's just become the norm. 1st. Just on first blush when I opened the box I knew I was in trouble, the leaves were eaten through by bugs and necrosis. They were bent in half on every single leaf, which if you know this plant you also know that their leaves are the most important part. But I said hey I'll trim them up and get rid of the dead parts and see if I can get her to back to healthy. So a little water and into quarantine she went. 2. I gave her a week to calm down and rehydrate but she's not looking any better in her stalks. 3. With no improvement I knew we have a bigger problem (STILL not putting two and two together like an idiot) so I just took her to the kitchen sink to give her a little drink of a magic elixir I use for my medical grow. It requires her soil to be soaked all the way through though 1st. As I started watering her with a nice PH'd water with a hint of aloe concoction my newbie plants get before their 1st Dirty Girl Tea treatment allllll these fungus gnats just swarmed out if her soil As I mentioned I have a medical grow but i also have thousands of dollars in other houseplants and can't jeopardize their health so in the trash this plant went. Beautiful plant. It has grown so much it was repotted into a larger pot once already. I expect I will repot again int 3 to 6 months. It was received in good health and I have not killed it. You cannot over water. It’s easy to care for. After watering, the next week just touch soil with finger. If still wet or damp DO NOTE WATER. The next watering will be when Soil is no long damp! I wanted to add a pop of color to my indoor greenery garden, and this little guy did the trick. The plant was packaged with care, it was healthy and beautiful. I ordered three plants together, the Aglaonema and the Pink princess Philodendron where in perfect condition, however, the Begonia looked almost dead. I thought maybe it went into shock from travelling in a dark box, but upon closer inspection, it looked like it may have been almost dying before it was shipped. Most of the leaves were dying and part of the stem looked like it was bitten off by some insect. I immediately gave it some therapy in order to preserve the life of the poor thing. I have ordered plants from Costa Farms before and this is the first time that the plant was not in good condition. In their defense, maybe the wrong plant got shipped. Since they are a good company I will let it slide this time and hope that this precious beauty thrive. I would have given it five stars if it was not for the plant in poor condition, however, I will always purchase from Costa farms. ... show more

UPDATED REVEIW: Beware of the root rot on these guys. A few days after my initial review I started to notice some dropping so came back to the reviews on this post. Although I didn’t see any others with a monstera Thai C. A lot of reviews say they had root rot. After depotting this guy, I too noticed the dreaded root rot… I decided to repot, without disturbing the root system in just orchids bark mix. The roots were pretty well established before the root rot so most of the soil was a fine coco blend. After about a week still more dropping so I took it out again. The root rot has resolved itself, however about 70-80% of the initial root ball is completely gone. Thankfully there are still a few strong roots. I washed the roots, trimmed the remaining dead roots off and repotted into a much smaller pot with a homemade chunky aroid mix. Fingers crossed I don’t loose any leaves and it lives! ******* It was packaged and shipped well. They added a heat pack to the shipment due to it being late November which was very nice. It’s honestly a beautiful Thai constellation monstera however, I do wish it was slightly more variegated but for the $30 price I’m happy with it. I’m only knocking 1 star due to the newest leaf which is the first fenestrated leaf looks like it was damaged during shipping. ... show more
