    • The app doesn't work so it only functions on All-over mode :(

I purchased this vacuum a month ago. It works well. Easy to charge and use. BUT, the only way to change the functions (or modes) of the unit is to use their app. The APP is under maintenance right now and it does NOT work therefore. The only mode the vacuum runs on is ALL-OVER mode which drains the battery very quickly and doesn't finish the floor of your pool. I like the unit otherwise and think it was a fair price, but I may return it since I can't change the modes. I need it to be able to just clean the floor sometimes before losing all it's battery power. Otherwise a good unit and cleans well. I did call customer service--they said the app would be up and running by May 10th. It's 6 days later and the app is still not working. I am disappointed because I like the robot otherwise. ... show more

    • Update: 5/11/24. Replacement Basket Received; Performance Problem Continues

Update #5 5/14/24. Support requested a video of the continuing problem which I will supply when I return from vacay, in June. Update: #4 5/11/24. The replacement basket arrived on Thursday, 5/9. Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem. Some of the dirt continues to flow out of the basket and back into the pool when removing the robot after it finishes its program. Emailed support for the next step for correcting this problem? Update #3: 4/25/24. I haven't heard back from support in two weeks or received the replacement basket that was promised on 2/27. This problem was first reported on February 7. Since then, I have emailed and phoned support multiple times. It is now April 25. Over two months have gone by. My robot is still under warranty. Seauto is not providing the service and support required by the warranty. Update #2: 4/2/24. A month later and still no new filter basket received. Update: I emailed support again on 2/27, then received a phone call from a support person on 2/28. She promised again to escalate my concern to tech support. Later that day, I got an email from tech support. They are sending a new filter basket to solve the problem. I'll update again with the results. - Original Review: It runs for over 3 hours in our 28x12 in ground fiberglass pool. It seems to do the sides and waterline first and then concentrate on the floor. The result is a sparkling clean pool. For the first 5 months we were very pleased with performance. Now we need support for an issue with sediment backing out of the robot when removing it from the pool. The support email address on the website and on our paperwork was returned "undeliverable." There was no response from the webform on the company website. I then connected with a person by phone who reported that they had received my initial email but there was only one support person in China who was either off for a Lunar Holiday or out sick. Promised to relay my problem and a week later I still haven't heard back from anyone. The support is inadequate if not non-existent. Very easy to put in and take out of the inground pool. Very easy to clean the top load basket. The basket / lid is a bit flimsy. With no cord my solar powered surface skimmer can operate w/o getting stuck. Worked great for two weeks then error message said there was an issue with the right pump. Online support really does nothing but funnel you to send an email. The 800 # hung up after few rings but maybe that is b/c I called on a Sat? Waiting for email reply but suspect it will be returned for replacement. I am bummed b/c it really worked well albeit had a very short life. Last, I bought this for light duty cleanup, not for opening the pool, or rather the swamp, that requires a corded bot that can run all day long. Update: 6 days later the email came from SeaAuto, and although it was written poorly and gave an impression it could be a scam, the message made clear the item had to be returned. But instead of directing me back to Amazon returns, it asked me to supply my info in a return email. Not reassuring when there was no company info in an email that had its return address written in Chinese letters that I could not read. Not that you need to read Chinese when the reply drop down shows it is for SeaAuto support, but still, the lack of a link to the SeaAuto website made me question if the email was a phishing attempt. Had the email just asked for my Amazon order # and not my personal info I would have been more comfortable responding. Instead I just went back to Amazon returns which is simple and effortless, and already has all my info. I ordered a replacement b/c at $350 it is a deal and worked great in my 16x32 pool. ... show more
