Excellent works fine in my inground pool. My pool is 3 ft at the shallow end is 8 ft at the deep end. it goes up the walls and cleans great. I have a pool cage but my pool is old so I mainly pick up sand residue from marcite coating which is getting old. It is easy to clean the filter and I can remove it from the pool easily. It weighs about 20#. Very happy so far am recommending it to friends ... show more

So disappointed. I bought this because it’s supposed to be able to strategically clean the bottom of the pool and not drive around all willy-nilly like my old one.. I also like the feature that it could clean the walls as well, but that is certainly not necessary. I do have an above ground pool and I made sure that this is supposed to work for that. So far I used it once and it had no rhyme or reason to anywhere that it went. It’s not mapping anything. it goes up the walls on an angle… it tried to climb the ladder. It would never get the pool clean before the battery dies. I pulled it out early to save myself the headache. Lastly, I told it in the app to only clean the floor and not the walls and clearly it doesn’t listen. I tried to update the firmware multiple times as well, and it doesn’t seem to do anything. The app seems worse than the robot itself. I would very much like a feature to tell it to map the pool similar to an indoor vacuum robot that you would have in your house. My pool even has a grid pattern on the floor so it should be very easy to track. I’m very concerned that I spent this much money on this, and it’s worse than the last one I had. This is absolutely the best vacuum I've ever purchased. My pool has a 7.5 ft deep end with lots of curves. I've tried a both mx-8s, and mx-6s (worked ok, not great), I've tried other cordless vacuums. All of the other cordless vacuum got one 1 star reviews and returns. Note, after my review they changed the description to say "for above ground pools". This thing has gobs of power. It's literal miniature tank. It can climb the walls no problem, and it even can run parallel to the water line and clean the tile. It's one of the most impressive machines I've ever seen. If it gets stuck it reverses the vacuum suction and fires itself into the air. The engineers really did a top notch job in the design. Those guys are freaking geniuses. ... show more

I have used this pool robot 6 times already and it does the job. Nice to have selections to do floor, wall or both. It even talks to you too. My Aiper doesn’t do that. I bought it cause of great YouTube reviews and its price. For $299 I just had to try it for myself. It goes up my pool walls and floor slopes with no problem. Hasn’t gotten stuck on raised floor drain yet. Goes up and down stair without any problems. My Aiper gets hung up on stairs and floor drain cover. Make sure charging prongs are covered with its rubber prong plug attached before putting unit in pool. Just to keep water off of them. After you pull the robot out of the water. It will throw out water and it knows you pulled it out of the water as it will stop moving. Hold down the on button for a second or 2 and it will say goodbye. Rinse completely with clean hose water to get pool chemicals off of it. Rinse out the basket. Dry the charging prongs with a couple cotton swabs. I let it sit for a a few hours before plugging in the charging cord. The above mentioned is how I preserve my robot or any robot I have had. I recommend this product. Customer service isn’t that great but you can reach someone by phone after a few tries. ... show more

For 2 weeks we tried the Seagull from another company. It was decent but didn't live up to the expectations described so we sent it back. The Seauto Crab on the other hand is an absolute beast of a robot. It will run for 2 hours. It will clean the floors and the walls at the same time. It even tries to clean my baja step even though it is too shallow. Once it figures out the water is too shallow it rolls its way back to the deeper part of the pool. It does clean off my deeper steps which is nice the seagull never did that. The reason for my 4-star rating is the latches to release the lid for the basket. They don't fit perfectly, and I fear that at some point while releasing the clips to remove the lid or putting the lid on and latching the clips, one of them is going to break. I'm sure it's going to take a while but even still I think there might be a better design to secure to cover for the basket. other than that, this is by far the simplest thing to use. once it's charged simply turn it on put it in the pool and let it go. It's a powerhouse and it picks up everything. I am extremely happy to have made this purchase and unless something goes wrong in the near future, I don't see any reason to change my mind. ... show more

I am somehow disappointed with the Robotic Pool Vacuum. Despite its promises of being a "wall-climbing robot" and "automatic pool cleaner," it has failed to live up to expectations. The wall-climbing feature is unreliable. The robot frequently slips and struggles to stay on the walls, often falling back into the pool without completing the cleaning job. The suction power is weak and ineffective, leaving dirt and debris behind. I had to manually clean the pool after each supposed "cleaning" session, which defeats the purpose of having an automatic cleaner. The navigation system is another letdown. Instead of methodically covering the entire pool, the robot wanders aimlessly, missing large sections and getting stuck in corners. Moreover, the build quality feels flimsy and cheap. After just a few uses, I am concerned about its durability and longevity. Overall, the Seauto Crab Robotic Pool Vacuum is a waste of money. It doesn't clean effectively, fails at climbing walls, and has poor build quality. Save your money and look for a more reliable pool cleaner. 1 star. ... show more
