We've purchased this to clean an area roughly 400' sqft. The carpet is 22" square "stickon". The bad: Nothing "bad" with this machine, however, the tanks are tiny. For a 20' x 20' carpet, we had to refill/dump at least 16 times. (Granted, we were moving slowly and several times over each sweep). The good: The handle tilts making it less difficult to use with less back strain. The unit is light and portable. We were easily able to carry in our SUV trunk. Carrying it upstairs was easy as well. The cord is long enough to reach any area. The bottom line: If you own carpet, buy this machine. It's worth the price and does a great job cleaning.
