If you’re like me, you like to keep your area, rugs, and your carpets beautiful and clean. I have a dog who tends to bring in muddy messes. Over the years I have bought a few different carpet shampooers, and only one of them probably worked the best at the time because it had a rinse cycle without having to switch to a clean water tank. Well, that machine didn’t last more than two years. I then bought another one. I think was a Bissell pet pro heat and I gotta tell you, it never pulled out the dirt out of my carpet, no matter how many times I went over it, it remained dirty. I almost threw away my very expensive area rug until I bought this carpet shampooer. I was at the point that I didn’t even care how much money I had to spend to buy a carpet shampooer, as long as I can find something that actually does what it’s supposed to do. Well, it took me a minute to really figure out how to use it correctly to get the best results, And this is by far the best investment I’ve ever made in a carpet shampooer EVER!!!! Ok 1st thing, the pre-stain steaming function works perfect. 2nd thing, the shampoo/heat drying function working together at the same time is brilliant!! 3rd thing, the steam dry works way better than I thought it would. When you use it correctly, it says it will dry in 30 minutes, well it did exactly that. Let’s not forget to mention one of the most things you need to have in shampooer, the strength and power of the suction feature to pull out the water and dirt. Well I cannot believe how much more dirty water this machine was pulling up out of my carpet!! It pulled up stains up that I thought would never ever come out because it never did with two other carpet shampooers. The shampooer is a dream, and it cleans your carpets just like a professional would. I invested a lot of money in rebuilding my home and I want to keep it beautiful and clean and the only way that I can do that is by investing in products like this that will far surpass any of my expectations and is the best buck for your bang. So don’t worry about how much it cost, think about how much it’ll cost you later on down the road when you have to keep replacing those carpets in area rugs when you don’t purchase this product. My fiancee and I have a 4 cat household with our senior cat not liking to use the litter box anymore, which has led to our house to continually smell like urine. We have tried several carpet cleaners, deodorizers, spray enzyme cleaners, ect. and while they all helped a little, 2 days later the smell would be back and we were fighting a losing battle. We decided to splurge, and purchase this shampooer out of desperation because of the steam cleaning feature and it is worth every penny! We went over our living room carpet a solid 6 times and the water was still completely black coming up. We vacuumed several times before shampooing and the amount of embedded cat hair this machine pulled up after vacuuming so thoroughly first is literally unbelievable!! It is incredibly easy to use and clean, heats up in about a minute, and has great suction! It seems very well made and durable as well. I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially those with fur babies. The only negative that I've found thus far is that it leaves a uncleaned gap against the wall the comes out about 3 inches. But for how well it does the rest of the carpet, I am more than happy to use the handheld attachments to get next to the walls. We just love this product! ... show more

I have used the old model for many years. The old model, which can often be found for half the price, is not a bad carpet shampooer and is better than its competition. However, the old pet pro plus had a lot of design defects. First, the old water chambers often leaked and broke. So often that I kept two spare chambers in the closet. Every time they broke your machine didn't work until you got a new chamber and there was a clean and dirty chamber which would break far too often at a cost of about 35 dollars to replace. This new model is more expensive, but the water chamber defects that caused it to break over and over have been corrected. The water being applied to the carpet is very hot. So hot you can see the steam going on the carpet. It uses lots of water and sucks the water back in. You can clean over a spot the old carpet cleaner cleaned and still get dirt. The new model has brought back life and color to my 8-year-old carpet. This new model is well worth the money. This steam cleaner drops the old mechanical switch, which allows you to choose between a light cleaning which quickly dries, to deep cleaning. Instead, all the controls are in the handle and consist of an off-on switch and a settings switch. It is easy to verify which mode you are in because the floor tool lights up the icon for light and deep cleaning, depending on which mode you want. It was easy to miss which setting you were using on the old model with the switch on the side. The new model is well worth the added cost. It is easier to operate, maintain, lower cost in the long run, and gets the carpet cleaner. ... show more
