Description

The Sandusky Lee ERZ772472WL3 is a standing three-shelf storage rack with welded steel frames, welded steel beams, and wire shelves to support a 1,200 lbs/Level Rated Capacity. Rated Capacity, Uniformly Distributed Load – 1,200 lbs/Level. Concentrated Load Capacity - 100 lbs/Sq Ft. This unit has steel braces on both end frames for rigidity. The wire shelves are adjustable in 3" increments to accommodate items of varying height, and the shelves have middle tie bars for support and rigidity. The frames and posts on this storage rack are designed to link together without bolts to facilitate rapid assembly or rapid adjustment of shelf height. This storage rack meets NSF International/ American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) standards for food equipment.

seems sturdy. only thing keeping me from leaving five stars is the fact that they didn't include all three wire shelves. but easy to assemble and should hold a good amount of weight.

I rate this five stars despite numerous problems. It's a very nice strong, versatile, well-designed well-built rack. 95% of it was very simple and easy to assemble. And overall it was a good value. As with any shelf I'd use it for about half of it's rated load. I'm sure that the shelves withstood a 1000 lb well-distributed load each but I wouldn't go over 700 well-distributed lbs per shelf and not over 1,000 lbs for the overall shelving unit. Now, regarding the problems, consistent with other reviews, there were numerous carrier problems. The carrier lost the first order. When I contacted them through Amazon the seller was responsive and sent it a second time. It seems that the carrier does not report whether something is delivered or not. Nobody noticed that the first ordered was never delivered and now even though it came 5 days days ago, it still doesn't show up as delivered on Amazon. It showed up damaged (a twisted/ bent leg) which was easily fixed with a giant pair of pliers. There were supposed be 6 sets of screws in there but half were missing because they just put them in loose (no bag) and many were lost through the hole in the box from the trucker damage. So I just used my own. I'd rate the directions C-. Unclear and various items not covered or under-covered. Also there was no supplier name or contact info on the instructions or anywhere in the shipment. 95% of it went together simply and easily but the one frame was 1/4" out-of-dimension on top and the front-to-back cross-piece wouldn't fit. 20 minutes of re-working it with a grinder and sheet metal bending tools solved the problem. Now that all of that is behind me, I really like the shelving unit in every respect. ... show more

Purchased 2 units for garage storage/organization. Was looking for adjustability, sturdiness, and stability. The boxes they ship in are big and heavy, and get a little dinged up in transit, so be sure the inspect parts for damage -- Mine were fine for the most part (a couple of small scratches and a slightly bent tab or two, iirc). Assembly is very easy and quick -- I built by myself then had help moving the racks into position. I was somewhat concerned about the wire shelving and how it was supported at ends, but it turns out that the ends are supported well. As for stability, I did have to shim one of the racks to eliminate a small amount of rocking movement, but shimmed and with weight on shelves, it is solid. I MAY engineer a strap system to secure to wall at some point, but it's probably not necessary. All in all I'd recommend this product for people seeking a heavy duty, stable, strong, and adjustable storage solution. ... show more

    • My garage is organized
I have a super large garage and had so much stuff due to consolidating 3 homes into one my 40 x 30 garage was just a mess, everything just piled everywhere. The racks took about an hour to assemble the 5 racks, pretty easy to put together. Some foreknowledge, the long cross bars holes go up and sometimes the small "hooks" at the end of them need a little bending out to make insertion and locking easier. Next I placed the racks against the wall (after clearing space) and started sorting an placing on the racks. 4 hours later my garage is organized and now I feel I have made a big move towards being moved in. I would recommend for anyone that needs a study shelves and has need to organized. My last house I used the plastic shelving, at half the price, but over the years they all seem to warp or bend due to weigh. If you don't want to worry about weight on your shelves and need shelving these do the job. ... show more

I bought two of this product and only opened one so far and it's been a mix feeling (I hope it's an isolated instance and my 2nd one does not have this issue) First of all the one I opened has some dents (the worst one is in the pictures shown) another is on the connection parts that requires me to bent the material back so it's flat (luckily I don't have to use a hammer but quite some force to get it back) Second the manual picture is not too clear, I'm not a very handy person so took me a while to figure out what to do with it and the manual that I received did not state correctly as it is stated that you can make 4 sections while in actuality it is only 3 Third there is no extra spare parts so if you lose one you have to get a replacement (if you have none at home) Fourth the wire shelves are not completely straight, all 3 of them are bent some worse than the other Aside from those it is very sturdy and help alleviate my messy storage issue ... show more

One bar arrived extremely bent and it took two of us to fix it. The box arrived in shreds taped up and we were unable to move it without parts falling out, so we brought it all in piecemeal. Each individual part isn’t too heavy for one individual to life. The directions are minimal at best and took some intuition to fill in the missing information. There were cosmetic scratches on it. It is heavy, extremely sturdy, and with some paint to cover the scratches, nice enough to display in my living room. The lights from the terrariums draw the eye away from the defects, so it’s acceptable for my needs. (Also, a toddler has taken to trying to scale it, so it’s anchored to the wall, too, although it feels very sturdy on its own.) ... show more

Very nice and heavy duty for your non standard garage items. I use mine for storing metal. Nice and sturdy and easy to assemble, even fits square.
