  • Fantastic Shelf and Customer Support
Color: Orange Style: Organizer
Are these shelves absolutely amazing when it comes to storing lumber? Yes! What's even better though is the customer support that they offer. I ordered 4 sets of these and one of the sets was missing the mounting spacers. A quick email to Affinity's customer support and they shipped out a new set within a few days. Incredibly impressed with this experience! ... show more

  • Have to buy more!
Color: Black Style: Organizer
It didn't take me long to fill these racks! My husband complained because there were no screws included to install it. He's a carpenter so he just ran to Lowe's quick to get the appropriate sized lags needed. I love it so much I'm ordering 1 or 2 more now! As long as you find a stud to install these on, looks like they should hold a lot of weight. ... show more

  • Pretty good
Color: Orange Style: Organizer
Holds up my lumber pretty well. Each rung will hold 5-6 2x4s before it seems like it’s getting too heavy. Really helped organize my wood pile.

  • Smaller than it looks, thin gauge steel
Color: Black Style: Organizer
It took me awhile to finally unbox this and begin installing it. I was replacing a lumber rack I had hurriedly constructed about four years ago. My old rack was ugly and thrown together but very sturdy. I wanted something to look nicer. This fits the bill. However, This system uses thin gauge square tubing for vertical columns with pre-drilled holes for two purposes: a) three large holes per column to drill into the wall studs (screws not included!), and b) six small holes for small machine screws that have a very important function (see below) despite their small and cheap appearance. The thin gauge square tubing for the horizontal shelf arms can’t support more than about 55 lb per arm, so the whole rack rating of 600 lb is the sum of all the shelf ratings, not each shelf. The arms slide over the square column tube and rest on the head of each of the machine screws. Yes, you read that right, the only thing keeping the shelf arm from sliding down the vertical column tube is a tiny machine screw. Other than that, the shelf arms are free -sliding. You must install each of them in series, one after the other, and take care to make sure that a tiny notch in the bottom of the shelf arm is properly oriented to sit on the screw head. If you install it upside down, you will be disappointed to find that it will sag and you won’t be able to put lumber on it without it sliding off, and you’ll have to take it back apart and put it all back together in the right order to correct the problem. Yes that’s what I did and that’s how I know. There are no screws included to mount it to the wall. I have a drawer of assorted screws because I have a workshop and I suppose Bora thinks that will be the case for most customers. I used 3” coated deck screws so I’d have plenty of bite in the studs. Luckily all of my studs are marked and easily visible because that’s how I set up my workshop. However with just three screws per vertical column, it seemed a bit under-designed. I just loaded the rack up with all my stuff (see picture) which include a number of rough sawn oak, ash, hickory, and walnut boards, which are some of the heavier and more dense species. I also have some aluminum tube and bars mounted on the rack along with some PVC trim scrap and a lot of redwood boards which are quite light. It appears to be holding, but I had my doubts during assembly. Perhaps I’ll come back after some time and update if I have any problems. It does look nice, however. ... show more

  • Really great product support
Color: Orange Style: Organizer
While putting together the board storage unit I found that one side went together easily, but on the other side the upright member that bolts to the wall would not go into the holes in the cross pieces. On examination the upright member was ever so slightly bigger than the opposite side, and too big for the precut holes in the cross pieces. I called the support number and described my problem. The representative immediately put in an order to mail out a new upright member and that came about a week later and went right together with the cross pieces. No hassle, just fix the problem. ... show more

  • Very helpful for garage storage
Color: Orange Style: Organizer
It's a nice size for the back of a garage, for light duty woodworking. It let me get some 2x4s, cedar fence planks, and other lengthies out of the corner and off the floor. It's a little tricky to put up. Until it is screwed into the wall studs, it is quite floppy and the arms can slip around. Try to have a helper for the wall mounting stage. It is well made, sturdy and good looking. I got the orange version with 6 arms. ... show more
