I don't review often. Something has to he really great iris really terrible. This item is really great! I enjoy cooking and couldn't wait to try this pot out! We were having homemade burgers and fries for dinner. I used my frying pot for my homemade fries. I cut up some potatoes to make my fries and added them to the pot. This is the first time in years my homemade fries cooked evenly. In my skillets the potatoes fried very unevenly. Some would turn out dark brown and almost burnt yet others would be extremely light in color. I'm not sure what the science is behind this pot but the fries cooked evenly to a beautiful golden color and no oil splatter. I'm so happy with this purchase I'm buying 2 more to gift to my friends. ... show more

Excellent product. So far we have homemade fried taters/fried pies/French fries/shrimp/mushrooms/okra and the list is endless. Pay attention to sizes available. We bought this one and works on our electric cook top great. Food for family of 4 size.

I haven't got a chance to use it yet. But while I was unboxing this deep fryer pot, it sliced my left index finger. Since this was the first time have ever cut any of my fingers on a pot before. It took me a few moments to realize where the blood was coming from. It is a nice shallow clean cut too, one that stops bleeding after a little first aid. watch your fingers and those sharp edges on this pan. Other than the pan drawing first blood, it seems to be constructed in accordance with its price. Not overly cheap and not a wonder of state-of-the-art engineering. The thermometer just sits in a hole in the lid, very loosely I might add, a metal collar keeps the top part from resting on the lid. It looks like it will get the job done, but I wouldn't count on it staying put if you start bumping with whatever you're frying at the time. ... show more

I love this pan. The first thing I used it for was to fry my pork chops. They came out fantastic. I was able to use less oil than usual and when done clean up was very easy. If I had of known I would have bought one of these a long time ago. I love the design too as once you remove food from the oil as it drains on the rack the oil drips back in the pan.
