I bought a new full size mattress and wanted to protect it from dust mites and possible spills. I have bought this protector before, and loved it! It is easier to install if you have two people doing it, but can be done by just one person. I find it's easier to lay it on the mattress zipped up then unzip it and slide to the top of the mattress sliding half under the mattress while sliding the other half over the top of the mattress pull the lower half, under the mattress gently, while simultaneously gently pulling the top half then zip up and adjust as needed. There is a waterproof, terry cloth top and the rest is a durable material. It is very quiet when moving when trying to sleep. Some reviews state there was an odor upon opening the package. Neither of the covers we have purchased had any odor. However, if you do have an odor the cover is washable and dryable (low heat). It takes a while to dry though, but be patient. The zipper is tucked and hidden so it won't snag on anything. I definitely recommend this mattress protector ... show more

I looked at about 10 million mattress encasements before buying this one for a new 12-inch thick memory foam mattress from Wayfair (Nora). So, so glad I picked it. I hate all the sloppy-looking, loose encasements and crinkly vinyl material on other mattress protectors. Yuck. This mattress is going with my son to his first college apartment, so protection from bedbugs is a must. Putting it on was super easy and the fit is perfection. Looks nice and taught, but not too tight either. Materials feel great compared to other bedbug-proof covers. All the seams and zippers looked great, and it seemed very well made. I just returned an $80 one from Bed Bath and Beyond which had a zip off top sheet (which seemed like a nice idea, but it was loose, wrinkly, and made of gross plasticky stuff). I'm considering NOT putting a second mattress pad on top of this one because 1) my college freshman is unlikely to every wash his mattress pad (an unhappy truth) and 2) see #1, haha. If he washes his sheets and the mattress itself is protected, it's all good. I'm super picky about pretty much everything, so I was beyond thrilled to receive this from Amazon and have it be EXACTLY the right thing. ... show more

It's working great so far. I haven't really spilled anything on it, but it is helping with my allergies (dust mites) and it fits great on our full bed. It was easy to put on has a nice soft top. I love it. When putting it on though make sure and push all the air out or you will get it bubbling up a bunch, which is a good sign as far as sealing out stuff and being water proof. This mattress cover is very high quality material and a smart purchase. I ordered a full size for a generous full-sized mattress and it fit with ease. Not too snug and not too loose. It’s comfortable and quiet just like a normal cover. I strongly suggest though that a note about opening the zipper all the way prior to attempting to install it be included prominently on the packaging. The zipper is white and blends in with the fabric so well that I didn’t notice that it could be opened a lot more, so at first I struggled to get it on because I hadn’t opened it up enough. Rather than continue to struggle, I immediately called the phone number on the packaging and right away a very nice man answered. He said the cover opens up like a book and I just needed to open the zipper all the way and then it would go on very easily. He was right. My son was with me and helped me manage the mattress as it would have been hard to do this alone due to the weight of the mattress. Got this to protect my new mattress. Pretty easy to put on (although wrestling a mattress is never not awkward). Soft material, doesn't make any weird crinkly noises when you roll over. I put a soft mattress topper pad over the top of it just in case. Nice!

I had a bedbug infestation in my building, and with much regret the pest control guy found some in my unit. The pest control company sprayed, and I had to dispose of several pieces of furniture such as my mattress set. I recently purchased a new mattress set for my daughter's room and did not want to throw it away with all the other furniture. We inspected her mattress and box spring and did not see any any signs of infestation so therefore I purchased the SafeRest encasements to cover my daughter's mattress set to seal in any potential nymphs for the next 18 months. I was surprised when I opened the package. The encasement is very strong and durable. The zipper closure is covered with a velcro flap to prevent any critters from entering or escaping. The top side of the encasement is covered with a thick fabric for sleeping. My daughter says it is very cool to sleep on. It is super easy to put on the mattress and a wonderful fit.
