I have 2 of these mattress protectors for my twin toddlers queen size bed. I got this specifically because it is completely encased and was supposed to be waterproof. All in all for the price this is not a terrible cover. I do not recommend using it for non potty trained kiddos or adults that need extra protection for the mattress. Will it protect against the occasional small spill absolutely! Will it protect against a very sick child missing that bedside bucket? Not a chance. The zipper atleast on the 2 that I have snag consistently and can be aggravating to zip up Basically for the price it’s not terrible. The material is hearty and after SEVERAL washes has not torn or split and that’s also with consistent bed jumping and moving, I just wish it truly was waterproof ... show more

When I think of waterproof mattress covers I can almost hear the crackling plastic sheets from the 90s. This ain't them! This surprised me by being almost as soft as bed linens. Installation was a breeze even on my Dad’s california king which is 16" deep which i did solo. I LOVE this cover. Water proof, cool, and it’s easy to take off and on. I only wish it came in more colors than white. I put a fitted sheet over it of course, but if something does get in it, it does stain it if you don’t immediately wash it. Great product tho. I’ve ordered 3 in different sizes.
