This is a great mattress cover and it really is waterproof. The other thing I love about it is that it is really soft on the one side. Other covers I have tried are very plasticky and crunch around as you move while sleeping which is not good bc my child is a light sleeper. The material fits nicely around deep mattress so it’s easy to get on and off. Very glad I found this product! This mattress cover is quilted in a handsome way, and with generaous skirts it is easy to fit and stays fit. Too soon to report on washability, but the cotton quilting will wash well. It is waterproof so it protects our foam mattress beautifully.

I bought this waterproof mattress pad for my elderly father-in-law who has advanced dementia. The old mattress cover was just falling apart and was not waterproof. This mattress pad is waterproof but doesn’t sound like a plastic sheet so it protects the mattress and allows him to sleep peacefully and not be woken up by a lot of crinkly sounds. It doesn’t cause overheating like I read some waterproof mattress pads might. We do put chucks down on the sheets so we don’t have to wash the mattress pad every time there is an accident, but it it does fit in our household washer and dryer and I’ve washed it a few times with no issues. I’m planning on buying one for my bed-we don’t need a waterproof pad but it’s a nice benefit-you never know when you’re going to spill a soda or the cat might act up. ... show more

Protects our queen mattress beautifully. We've had it for several months now. If any fluid or spills, it comes out easily with washing by hand with soap and cold water. When it's time for a regular run in the washer, no problems. I've used low heat tumble to dry it and it holds up.
