I have been wanting a secure place by my bed to keep a loaded hand gun ready if needed. I never did this because of my children. With this safe it was easy to set up with code and finger print. It holds four guns and some clips. Access to them is as easy as a touch of a finger. It is a little large for my night stand, but I did want the extra room so I can't complain at all. The media could not be loaded. I needed a decent lockbox to keep my pistols under lock away from my kids. This safe fit the bill very well! It's solid, fits in my dresser drawer or night stand, and the ease of access is great. Fingerprint reader, security code, and key all work perfectly. I saw reviews where some people couldn't get the scanner. I would assume they got a defective unit, because I have absolutely zero issue with mine as the video shows. Easy to program. It pops open without issue using either the Fingerprint or code. Also pops open with the key. Easily holds four Handguns and some magazines. It can be secured to a wall or whatever so that it can't be taken. Seems as durable as any pistol safe I've seen, and at a decent price. Admittedly I was a little concerned about a battery operated safe, but the key works just as well so its not an issue. All in all good value all things considered. The media could not be loaded. 3/15/23 update: I still cannot recommend this safe . Why? the keypad ideally should remain illuminated after touching a key for at least a few seconds, maybe 5 seconds. The keys only illuminate for maybe less than a second making it impossible to see the keys in the dark even after initiating a key sequence. I did replace the batteries with another set of fresh new alkaline batteries and still same issue. * I will add 1 extra star for the seller attempting to resolve the issue and for providing a full refund. Other than that, I cannot trust this safe. Final review- *** Stay away. Biometric and code failed again. See video *** I did another test this evening with lights off and biometric failed as did the 6 digit code. Then it started beeping and blinking (see video) and once it starts blinking I had to use key to remove battery pack. After I reinstalled battery pack, it started reading my fingerprint fine. This safe is not safe to use. I find it hard to believe that it was endorsed by government entities. Initial Review- Good: I just received the safe a few days ago and got it all set up yesterday and all worked fine. Nice padding and was easy to set up the code and add fingerprints. I added 3 so far. Bad: Just before bed with lights off, I slid safe from under the bed and applied my thumb to open safe. It gave the error beeps. Tried a couple more times, then other finger, then other thumb and it did not open. My wife laughed 😳. Then all the buttons started blinking and it was beeping over and over. So I unlocked it with the key and had to disconnect the battery in order to stop the blinking. Even the correct code did not work. After opening the safe with the key, and I tried using my thumb print again and it would not open the safe so then I tried again with more pressure with the lights on, and the safe opened. After that, I tried several more times with all fingerprints and it’ll open this time. Then I turned off the lights in bedroom and tried again and it worked fine. So I am confused. I will keep testing and tomorrow I am going to make sure to set up silent mode. If I still have issues I am going to return. It would be terrible if I can’t get to my gun faster than with my old 9 digit button gun safe. What is the point of biometrics if they don’t work all the time??? ... show more

Took about 10 minutes to get it set up and the fingerprint reader has worked every time so far. We will see how it does down the road. It is sturdy but not all that heavy. I view it as a safety device, I don’t know if it would stop a determined thief.
