From using old pillows, and not caring one way or the other for a long time, suddenly the need for something better came upon me. A member of my family had purchased a set of pillows from a successful individual selling through one of those TV channels. I went directly to Amazon, which is basically where I start looking for quality items, and discover a few pillows to choose from. This particular one, Sagino Shredded Memory Foam Pillow For Sleeping, Cooling and Warm Double Side Design, etc. The cooling part is what I was looking for, since I always have the issue of overheated pillows specially in summer days. The price $54 plus was somewhat steep, but reasonable if it could keep the pillow cool. Purchase arrived and I have given it a few days before writing this review. First of all this pillow is much better than previous ones I used. By using the pillow for several days I was able to confirm that it is, indeed, much cooler for sleeping. I do not know how they managed to offer a cooler side (blue) but I was very pleased to find out it was not baloney, which is something they serve daily and one has to watch out for it. Also the fact that this pillow is adjustable, allowing to add or remove the comfy foam pieces?, to the ideal personalized fit. Took me a few nights to get the best fit for my case. I am a side sleeper mostly, and now I wholeheartedly agree with many reviews that it is a superior kind of pillow. Admittedly I bought this pillow in the winter time, and I am aware that here in Southern California we are in the middle of winter, not that it gets that cold like back East, but I can already anticipate based on my experience that the pillow will work fine during the hot days of July, August, and September. The item was very well packaged and in a very nice box. The extra foam included will probably come in handy in the near future, and I am glad I have it. I am satisfied with my purchase, thinking about getting a couple more for the younger crowd that surely deserve as nice a rest as anyone of us do. I must say that sleeping conditions are definitely improved. After enjoying this pillow for a month or so I, I really like it a lot. 5 Stars. ... show more

    • This is the best pillow I've ever had
I've used this pillow for over a month now - still loving it! I have probably $800 worth of pillows in my house (can't recycle/donate them, I feel bad for throwing them in the trash!) because I buy one thinking it will be amazing, and end up being disappointed and then I can't return a used pillow. But this one? This one is a keeper. I have such a hard time with pillows: -They kill my ears! (side sleeper, here.) Especially the memory foam ones, they might as well be lava rocks. -Too flat or too fat, either way they hurt my neck and shoulders. -They go flat in the middle and poof up on each edge, so in order to not suffocate myself, I have to turn my head at an uncomfortable angle, which...hurts my neck. Apparently my head is a bowling ball??? -When I try to redistribute the fluff, they get lumpy and dumb. -They're sewn so I can't open them up and make things right (and no, I can't sew, so I can't re-close them without a stapler, and that's just asking for pokey trouble [speaking from experience. probably.]) Enter this magical pillow. I CAN MAKE IT BE WHATEVER I WANT. -Since it's zippered, I have been able to take some of the floof out* every now and then to get it to just the right height for my neck/shoulders and my bowling ball head. (So much floof, in fact, that I ended up making a new pillow for my stomach-sleeper husband by putting all the extra floof [plus the extra bag of floof that comes with the pillow - brilliant] into two zippered pillow protectors.) -I can squishy-squish it around and redistribute the floof into the bowling ball dent. -Most importantly, I haven't woken up with fire ears once!! *Side note* the plastic bag the pillow comes in is only an effective extra-floof-container if you SEAL ONE OF THE OPEN ENDS. Otherwise you will dump floof ALL over the floor when you pick up one end of the bag thinking the other end is sealed [speaking from experience. probably.] Bottom line, if you're a bowling ball-headed, tender-eared person like me, you MUST try this pillow. ... show more
