  • My Saw lasted a year
I purchased my Ryobi 10 inch table saw in December 2018 during a promotion at our local big box HarDware store - it was my first table saw, and I chose it for its price and portability, which I have enjoyed. I have used it for only weekend hobby projects, moving it in and out of my back porch as needed, mainly to avoid having lots of saw dust inside the house. It has worked as advertised. Once adjusted, the cuts have been fine and reproducible. I have not used the miter guide, as it is too small and loose for anything close to accurate. It has non-standard "upside down T" grooves for sliding things. I did make a cross-cut sled for the saw, and made thin slices of oak that I cut with the saw itself for the slides under the sled, which has worked fine. Unfortunately this past month I began to have difficulty raising and lowering the blade height - the adjustment screw was binding on all the saw dust that was blowing directly onto it from the blade under the housing. I cleaned it off with a toothbrush (hard to do - had to turn the whole thing upside down to get to it) and that helped for a while. When it became bound again, cleaning it did't help, but an advisor with the Ryobi Service Center suggested using some Lithium lubricating cream. This did help, but very quickly became clogged again, and finally the screw became stripped when I tried to raise the blade, and is now longer usable. I brought the saw back to the place where I purchased it for repair. I was told the turn-around would be a month, as repairs are unavailable on-site. I just bought another saw from a different manufacturer, as my projects won't wait. I hope this review helps. ... show more

  • Whack ass miter slot dimensions.
Good luck if you had any jigs in mind for this saw. Ryobi chose to use a miter slot that is not standard dimensions. This t-track set up is wack. The only miter bar that you can use on this saw is the one that comes on the miter gauge, unlike their competitors that use a standard miter slots, ryobi chose to keep customers from really being able to utilize the saw for more than rough cutting decking. ... show more

  • Close but no cigaR
I bought this at a closeout price at a big box store hoping for the best. The saw had almost everything I want at about half the price of a Dewalt saw. I was excited until I saw the Ryobi miter gauge. It is a piece of junk but to make matters worse the Ryobi saw has a non standard miter slot that means no other miter gauge will fit. Neither Ryobi or the after market makes a better miter gauge that is needed for precise cutting. It is almost like Ryobi, intentionally wrecked their otherwise excellent product. How incredibly dumb of Ryobi because in every other way, the saw is an excellent value. I could keep the saw and make custom cross cut sleds and other jigs from hardwood but I really want a miter gauge that does have tons of slop and has precise angle stops. After some cursing, I returned the saw for the next sucker. Overall, I really like many of the Ryobi products. If Ryobi reads this, please improve this flaw in your otherwise excellent product. For now, I recommend that you avoid this product. ... show more

  • Defect in blade adjustment
Bad blade adjustment parts. The worm gear rides in a square pin that rides in a track. When blade raises or lowers the pin gets in a bind. I always blow the saw off from the bottom side after use. This saw is 5 months old and has only been used for home projects. The saw cuts great. I can't find a dado throat for this model. I am very disappointed because I love the saw. I called the Ryobi Tech and he said he has never heard of this issue. Well he has now. It is very easy to set up and take down and very light weight. Spend your money on a better designed saw. Dry non silicone lube will not fix this issue. The miter track is a bad design to use a sled. ... show more
