  • Great deal for the money
Model: 2000LB
Very easy to hook up, i was doing carburetor work to my wheeler so i already had plastic off the sides and ran the wire down inside tubes and wire tied them so you couldn't see the wires. The remote is big and well put together, how ever the wires are all connected so you have a little slack with the remote wires and the leads that run to the battery, its kinda a birds nest with the wiring with the remote, should have made it wireless or added another 3 feet of power wire going to the remote after having this for a year only, the switch that looks sealed and weatherproof is not, winch stopped working, did a voltage test and winch was good, but inside the switch was corroded, positive wire was broken off and the voltage block inside the switch was severley corroded! thought it would be an east fix, but most universal switches don't work with this winch.......they work with 2 wires on the winch side with this winch to switch and universals switches use 3 wires to the winch buyer beware, the winch itself is good, the switch is junk! ... show more

  • Check the construction of this product and test all electrical components before you try to install.
Model: 3500LB
This unit was not a good product. It was not assembled properly. The screws attaching the frame to the unit were cross threaded and stripped. I tried to correct the issue. Upon testing the remote controls neither of them would operate the wench. Had to remove the mounted unit and return it for replacement. After the replacement wench arrived I remounted it and tested. The replacement wench operated as it was intended to. I have not used it to test the capability however I expect it to work just fine. ... show more

  • It only came with 35' of cable.
Model: 3500LB
It works OK for the money. I'm doubtful it can pull 3500 pounds, probably not even close. Under a fairly good load (well under 1000 pounds though) yesterday it would free spool out unless I had th emotor pulling in. (there's no brake) But most irritating ~ I bought it specifically for a job that *required* about 42' of cable. To lower, and raise a small tower. We went to lower the tower and the winch ran out of cable *before* the tower was down. The damned thing only had about 35' of cable on it ~ not the 50' as promised in the description. Frustrating! ~ and a bit dangerous. The spool would fit 50' (barely) ~ but it only came with 35. I should send it back but at this point it's looking a bit used. ... show more

  • I am very happy with the winch Ed
Model: 3500LB
The winch itself is fine. One of the remote controls didn’t work when I received it. The other remote control worked but the winch started and stopped and started and stopped when the button was held.I opened up the non-working remote and found a little bit of Solder where it didn’t belong and now that remote works fine and I am very happy with the winch. 11-1-20 update. The starting and stopping of the winch when I held the remote button no longer happens. I use the winch to raise and lower my 30 foot vertical ham radio antenna and watch it on my smartphone with a tv camera mounted under my house eve under the roof. The remote works well from inside the house about 50 ft from the winch. I am very happy with the performance. ... show more

  • Beware
Model: 2000LB
The up/down or in/out buttons were reversed on the hand control. Fortunately I was able to take the button clear plastic covers off and switch the stickers. The cable is very thin. Seemed like a strain at 300 lbs. There is NO WAY that I will consider 2000 lbs on this cable. Very noisy. I have several hoists/winches and this one is by far the loudest. The roller guides do not bolt onto the winch, they bolt onto the winch mount so if you can't use the mount or need to make a different kind of mount then ya gotta fabricate a way to use the roller guides. But get this --- the hook is too big to go through the rollers and the rollers are press fit and cannot be removed from the housing. So I either have to cut the cable and crimp a new hook on it or abandon the roller guides (which I need) or fabricate my own roller guides. Also, the hook has a very tight opening so ya can't put any kind of a decent sized strap in there - yet another reason not to attempt a 2000 lb load. Very disappointed. ... show more
