Bought this game for my niece and nephew who are 6 years old. They learned super quick, and had so much fun too! This game is for sure a hit with all ages, and keeps kids occupied for a long time. We like the game, it is lots of fun and I love being competitive. My only complaint is that I hate that the pieces are loose. They flick up easily come up if you are moving too fast. I wish they were stuck in place like those little cheap plastic puzzles I used to get in goody bags as a kid with a picture puzzle and you had to move them around just like this game to find the picture. ... show more

I first played the (high end) version of this game with my 10-year-old niece. While she beat me easily every time, I thought it was fun, and something good to play with my S.O. This brand was much less expensive than the discontinued version I played with my niece. The tiles on this brand pop/slide out of place more easily, but otherwise, it's the same game - and definitely worth what I paid. ... show more

I was a little hesistant to purchase since a lot of reviews said the pieces fly all over when you play, but we had no issues with that...and the kids were shuffling those pieces fast and hard trying to win lol I prefer this set over the metallic one because we can see the color better/tell them apart easier. The pieces all came in perfect condition. I was also a little concerned becasue people said the middle divider would fall over mid gameplay -- we also did not have issues with that. The only thing to consider is storage. The sets dont fold into each other and there are no compartments for the little pieces. But we usually store the games in their original boxes becasue it's just easier, so that wasn't really an issue. It's not so much an on-the-go game becasue of all the loose pieces, in my opinion. All in all, it is a really fun game that all ages can challenge. We did not use the specialty pieces for wilds and blocking, but will try it out when everyone gets tired of just playing the regular way. Great game to pull out for fast play as well.
