  • Great little game
Fun, easy to pick up and very kids oriented. Great components, rules are clear. Recommended

  • Easy to learn and fun for the whole family!
As a family of 5, it can be hard to find games for 5 or more players that are also enjoyable for all ages. We all love this one! Our kids are 13, 10, and 6 years old and they were all able to learn how to play quickly. The six year old does need a little guidance as we play, but she still has a good time playing with the rest of us and the more we play the less help she needs. The game itself is very well-made and the box it comes in includes sectioned storage to keep all the pieces organized. The build-as-you-go gameboard and many heroes to choose from make the game a little different each time you play, which keeps it fun and makes us eager to play it again and again. I would definitely recommend this game for family game nights, or as a gift for kids who enjoy adventure games. ... show more

  • great for kids
Forget the typical throw and go boardgames, kids are able to do more than that... :) of course that can be fun sometimes too but... I bought this for my son's 6th birthday. Just perfect. His father likes dungeon games, his big sister like Chronicles of Avel - but that is way too long for my son yet. On the other hand, this one gives you such feeling, it is fun and easy to learn and not long at all. The 9 years old likes to play with it too. Fun for kids. ... show more

  • Great quality game that isn’t that deep but good for playing with kids
First of all, the quality of the game is great. It is very sturdy and attractive. My kids who are seven and nine really enjoyed it. I enjoyed playing with them and having a game of this type to get them interested in more complex things later on. The gameplay itself is pretty repetitive and I wouldn’t recommend this for a group of adults. A lot depends on the roll of the dice, and if there isn’t much, you can do to get yourself out of a situation if you just have a series of bad rolls. Was fun overall and I would definitely recommend it to any parents who are looking for some. They can play with their kids outside of video games. ... show more

  • Excellent dungeon crawl game for kids
My kids ages 4 to 9 love this board game. I played it with them once and after that they were able to play it without an adult. It’s simple, easy to learn, yet fun enough to keep them engaged. It’s worth noting this game is competitive, so all the players are against each other and there is only one winner. Some might see that as a problem. My youngest originally had a problem with losing but that’s part of real life. I felt it’s been good for him to learn this way. ... show more

  • Superfun for the family
2 parents and 2 kids (ages 9&7) enjoy playing this together. We've played numerous times and it doesnt get old. My kids figured out a fun way to play 'co-op' between themselves. We even purchased separately the expansion pack with 3 additional heros.

  • 7 year old loves - fun for adults too
I bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas. He loves it because "it's like a video game." The adults enjoy playing it too, but we like to add a player vs player combat element if you land on the same square. Highest roll wins and gets to stay on the space and steal an item from the other player's board. Lowest roll loses a heart and either goes back a square or to the beginning of the dungeon. If you wanted, you could also have players eliminated vs losing a turn if they lose all hearts. The components are great quality and the dice are beautiful. ... show more

  • Great Dungeon Crawler Intro
This game is perfect for our little family. For the longest time I’ve been scouting for a very mild dungeon crawler to introduce to my 8 and 5 year old, something along the lines of a My First Dungeon Crawler for kids. This game definitely meets the criteria with all the basic elements of tile exploration, monster slaying, loot collection and characters building up their arsenal while the final dragon is off lurking somewhere in the distance. It even has a slight Carcassonne flavor to it which is a bonus for us since we own that game and all the expansions. After our first go around of the game, we immediately reset everything and played a second game which rarely happens. ... show more
