Using liquids from cans like this requires brushes for application, as expected. I picked up some inexpensive brushes from the dollar store—sponge and nylon bristle varieties—which worked perfectly for applying the sealant. My back porch, with its glassed-in area and rubber roof around a steel chimney, needed some attention due to potential leaks. My nephew, who assisted with construction work, used the nylon bristle brushes to apply the sealant where needed. Since then, we've had several rains without any more water issues at the chimney base, indicating the sealant's effectiveness. Review for Rubber Liquid Waterproof Sealant, Hupeyna 35 oz Waterproof Patch & Seal Waterproof Coating. This sealant is in a plastic tub inside a metal can. The sealant is like a thick liquid. You brush it on. Use a disposable brush, as you won't be able to use the brush after. The sealant than takes a few hours to create a rubbery seal on the item. This product works well, however, the price is a bit more than comparable products found in local retail stores. ... show more

I say that the Hupeyna Rubber Liquid Waterproof Sealant "seems" like a quality product only because it has not yet passed the test of time for me. There are other indicators, though, that tell me that it most likely is. The first is the packaging. It would be easiest and cheapest to simply sell this in a typical paint can. Instead, it comes in a can with a pop-up pour spout that is, itself, sealed in a plastic container that can also be used as a mixing container. Both containers have full instruction labels. Instructions are specific and complete and are provided is several languages. The liquid is viscous and self-leveling. It is also quite "sticky" and lays down nicely. Coverage is excellent. At any rate, I've applied it to a portion of my patio cover that has had a "mystery path" for a water leak that's been irritating me for several years. I'm hopeful I have finally fixed it. ... show more

True story: We had a leaky pipe in the kitchen and the bottom of the cabinet flood a few times. We initially was going to call a plumber until my husband decided to put this sealant to the test. He used the entire tub by doing layers for 3 straight days before we used the sink again. That was 1 1/2 months ago and not a drop of water has come through. The cabinet is "bone" dry which actually means this $30 tub saved us hundreds of dollars. No pipe replacement and the layering looks very professional. Bottomline, it's a winner ... show more

    • Great sealant for concrete
I used this to seal a 4' x 6' concrete pad that I poured to hold a small aluminum shed in my side yard. The pad had an abrasive surface which I wasn't pleased with. The application was easy and there was enough product to apply a nice thick coating. When this dried the surface was covered completely and very smooth without being slick. It has a nice almost rubber feel like having a silicone coating on my concrete pad. When I secured the shed on the pad with anchors, it was easy to drill through without damage to the coating. After anchoring the sealant also worked great at providing a water resistant seal around the bottom of my shed. Definitely an added bonus that I was not expecting. I was a little skeptical on whether this would work considering the affordable price. I was give this a big thumbs up for quality and value. I plan on pouring another small pad this summer and will be getting more of this to seal that pad. ... show more

    • Using this to coat the inside of porous terracotta clay planters and pots.
I love to plant large terracotta clay pots with seasonal colorful flowers. Unfortunately, the nature of terracotta is that it tends to draw all the moisture out of the soil. This aspect of clay pots requires them to be watered twice daily during the hot weather. For years I've wanted to coat the insides of the clay pots with a waterproof sealant coating. This would slow down the process of water loss from the soil. This liquid rubber waterproof sealant was easy to apply. I covered the insides of the pots with two coats each. Before applying the sealant to the inside, I scrubbed out the planters so they were as clean as possible. I will be leaving the pots empty until fall to make sure the sealant is thoroughly dry and is sticking to the planters. If I have any issues with this product, I will report back. ... show more

Instructions on the side of the plastic can are tiny. Had trouble reading even using a magnifier. Took a photo of instructions with my genius phone and expanded it which made them easy to read. I used this product on the roof of my utility trailer which had started to leak in a couple of places. First, I pressure washed the roof and let it dry. Then I painted it on thick with a brush. I didn’t time how long it took to dry, sorry. It has been through several heavy rains since and no leaks observed anywhere. If you are not going to use the whole can up at one time, I would just pour a small amount out of the metal can and reseal it each time. It is my opinion that if you poured it into the plastic can, leaving a large air void, the product would set up before you could get back to it and use more at a later date. At a price point of $32.99, this at first seems a little expensive. However, in my situation, it was easier to use than the typical self-leveling caulk sealant and it went on fast.
