  • Works good with a little practice
Color: Orange
This great stuff foam is great with a little practice. It needs a pro gun in order to make it work. With A little patience and practice, you'll be foaming in no time. These cans go a long way. I used it to insulate a crawlspace, the walls and band joists. With a steady hand, you can do the same. Please, wear gloves and protect anything you don't want foam on, you won't like removing it. ... show more

  • Before you post learn how to use it.
Color: Orange
I see so many posts about one-time use. First of all, there is a spray or you can use a label remover that brakes this down so you can clear the gun of any mess or clear clogs. It's called, (Great Stuff PRO Dispensing Gun Cleaner, 12oz). You spray this on top of the can if it clogs, you spray the gun to remove and you attach it to the gun to clear out the inside of the gun. Once it clears when you re-attach the gun make sure to spray some in like a small box to clear it out before spraying the foam back into the project. If your product comes missing the top do not freak out. Order with Prime trust me you will be so much happier with your returns. ... show more

  • Should expand more
Color: Orange
I should have bought the super expanding foam. The can said cream in color but came out puke orange. Wasn't happy about that... that's for sure.

  • How to love (not hate) this stuff!
Color: Orange
Have you ever used one of the standard cans of Great Stuff to fill some cracks and ended up with huge billowing hunks of it when you only wanted a small bead? Next, you find out that because it’s so difficult to control you emptied the can on one simple job. By now you have it on your hands, your clothes, and your phone rings. Yep. You’ll never buy that again. But wait. This really is Great Stuff. You just bought the wrong can. Get the gun ($25) and buy this. The gun stops and starts instantly, is minutely adjustable for perfect caulking. Seriously! It puts the foam right where you want it and only enough to do the job. This one can will equal 5 of 7 of the hardware store variety. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, don’t bother with the cleaning fluid and all that. I keep the can on the gun at all times. Even if the can runs out. I just rub the end of the nozzle when I'm finished. When I am ready to use it again, I just rub the nozzle tip with a utility knife and it takes right off. Shaking the can for a minute is the longest part of the process. I have on occasion left a can on for almost a year and it started up like I’d just put it down. Just make sure you keep a can on the gun and the foam inside the gun won't cure. It’s Great Stuff!!! ... show more

  • Not so Great Stuff
No this product is not GREAT. The idea behind this can is that it is installed on top of the PRO gun dispenser and it should be useable for multiple applications without losing or throwing away the unused product inside the can. This did not happen for me. I shot one can to empty. That was fine. The next can started having problems. I don't think I ever got it emptied. The third can is still on the gun and for the most part is completely full. The foam has solidified inside the applicator tube and has rendered the tool useless. I have always used acetone to clean my expanding foam dispensers without any issue. I could use and reuse the cheap "o" cans with success. I used a whole can of acetone spray on this tool and still have failure. I do not recommend this to anyone. The only way that I would try it again is if someone gave me a can of the "cleaner" and a new "Pro Gun" to start with. The old (used twice) PRO gun is useless now regardless of what I try to clean it with. The foam while it is in the can is similar to a thick liquid. Once you mount this can onto the applicator and squeeze the trigger the thick liquid like unexpanded foam flows through the applicator tube toward the tip. The tip is a very small diameter orifice which is controlled by actuating the trigger. A rod running along inside the tube is pulled back to allow the foam to flow through the tube and out of the tip of the nozzle where it will begin to expand. The problem is that the liquid is too thick. The viscosity needs to be higher for this concept to function correctly. Once the liquid is inside of the applicator tube that is it. Whatever job you are working on should be a stopping point where you "must" clean the unit completely or it will not work correctly ever again. Do not allow the foam to sit in the applicator after the project is completed. Do not allow the foam to stay in the "gun" overnight. I can not imagine anyone saying that this description is not helpful. Take my word for it. I wasted good money by following the instructions. The instructions do not tell you what I am telling you. If you want to go ahead and try the product then you go ahead. Just remember that you will need the cleaner. You will need acetone. Acetone will dissolve SPF while it is still in the liquid form. Acetone will not dissolve cured polyurethane foam. If you would like more explanation please let me know. I have a few videos that show quite few different perspectives on spray foam insulation. I love the chemistry behind it. The product SPF is awesome. Benefit from another persons personal experience and save some money. No this product is not GREAT. The idea behind this can is that it is installed on top of the PRO gun dispenser and it should be useable for multiple applications without losing or throwing away the unused product inside the can. ... show more
