Thai is the best marine sealant/adhesive in the market. I used it to install rod holders and it bonded great to the fiberglass boat. Also used to seal around bow light and it sealed everything up.

Was disappointed to learn of the extremely short shelf life after opening, especially considering the cost. I used it during the install of a depth finder which only required a small amount of this product. Too soon to tell how well it works. I'm a little concerned that if I need to make adjustments to the transducer height I won't be able to loosen the screws now or the water tight seal will break. ... show more

Product seemed to break down in salt water after a while. I used it to attach a transducer cable to transom on my boat and the product seemed to let go of cable and fade away after a while. Works great on bonding parts.

    • Holds great to oily cedar, some in use for 30 years
I've used cases of this sealant to glue western red cedar together. My house is a cedar log cabin (International Homes of Cedar, Woodinville WA) and each of the courses are held together using this product (in cedar color). It is about the only glue that I've found that adheres to the oily cedar, and it holds great. Some have been in use for almost 30 years without deterioration. I used this particular order to glue 1x8 cedar panels to a 5/8" plywood substrate. These are used as door both inside and outdoors. The outdoor one has been in use for about 5 years and still looks great. Of course this product is between the two woods, but it flexes enough to allow the doors to move without warping. The mahogany color is nicer than the white available locally since this means you don't need to trim the edge (with the stark white, it shows up very clearly, the mahogany looks like another ply) ... show more
