This is the second RPNB safe I’ve purchased. The first an RFID and the second this bio safe. The first has worked so well I decided to get the bio safe for my truck. So far it’s worked flawlessly. It was very easy to program and I’ve had zero issues with the fingerprint reader… not a single time has it not opened the first time. I spent several hours after it arrived just messing with the bio reader waiting for it to fail to open but it never did. It’s not overly bulky but has plenty of room for my p365 and 2 magazine's or my 1911, or my uberti 1873 single action with 5.5 barrel. This lockbox has its flaws, and I'm sure with tools and a little effort someone could pry into it fairly easily, but it's fantastic for the price and more than enough to protect the weapon from kids or to inconvenience and delay a thief at the least! The interior and locking mechanism are very nice, the foam is of decent quality, and the box itself is highly portable. It fits my M&P9 Shield M2.0 and an extra mag perfectly, though I don't know how well it will work for anything much bigger than that. I purchased this safe in late December 2022, in late February 2023 I had a failure with the locking mechanism for the safe. I reached out to customer service to have a new locking mechanism sent to me, as a result of the failure from the locking mechanism, as of mid-March 2023 I received a new locking mechanism and the lock and box work as new, I would highly recommend this item to family and friends. HEAVY DUTY steel box, more than adequate to keep young children (1-5) out and away the pew pews until they understand better. As far as keeping it away from school age children and theives, if they have tools it won’t put up much of a fight. The only issue I encountered is a personal one to me because of the size of pistol I decided to stow. As you can see in the photos, it’s a tight fit for a full size handgun with TLR2 attached. I had to remove the bottom layer of foam to get my setup to fit properly and lock/unlock. Other smaller guns fit with room for another (G26, LC9s pro & S&W 642). If I took the Streamlight off it would fit with room to spare but I didn’t want to sacrifice my setup to accommodate the box so the best option was to remove the bottom foam. I can also see how people have broken the dial on it, it’s a bit frail so I’m gentle. BUT all in all, I recommend this to my family with firearms for when my son goes to visit and they purchased one that day once they saw mine. I will 100% buy another when needed. ... show more

I bought this to keep my vehicle. First I have used this many times. Never had an issue with it until one day it would not open. I placed a few items inside it and locked it. As soon as i locked it i remembered i needed my ID. I had the correct combo as I had just opened it seconds before. It would not unlock. Out of frustration I slid my knife into the side and opened it just enough to get the tips of my fingers in and pulled the safe popped open breaking the PLASTIC lock. ... show more
