The media could not be loaded. Just as the title says. Very well designed. Simple, sturdy, efficient. I was originally not expecting to like this sage as much as I did, with the price of it. Nice middle ground budget. But I love this thing. It's got some weight on it and is solid at about 15lbs, empty. Mounting this was an absolute breeze. Screw in the bracket, line it up, slide it on, secure with thumbs crew from inside the safe. There's no slop or play in the bracket to the safe. Holds it rather tightly and securely. Setting up the biometrics and pin was faster than figuring out exactly where and how I wanted to mount it. The instructions were as clear as could possibly be, even included photos to assist. Opening with biometrics is fast and reliable. I currently have my glock17 in it with 1 extra mag. Fits nice and securely with no wiggling around. I've also had my full size 5 inch barrel 1911 in it with 2 extra mags just as securely. The sliding mechanism is quick yet controlled and aside from the beep and unlocking sound when opening. The whole thing is silent while sliding open. Very nice quality rail system. Even the gaps around the opening are nice and even. Not really key to its efficiency but it's nice to see the quality and care that went into the design show through in the small mostly unnoticed details. I've been opening it 5 times a day every day for 2 weeks. To see if anything comes loose, gets louder, starts to fail, jam up. Anything. It still remains just as sturdy, smooth, and quiet as the day I set it up. ... show more

My husband and I are very safe and experienced with handling guns, but we just had our first little one and knew we had to find something safe to lock up our home security in. Guns used for hunting or other hobbies are locked in the safe, but the smaller ones we used for home security we did not have locked up until we had our baby. We always thought it was kind of an ironic thing if someone were to break in… That we would have to tell the intruder “hold on please while I turn on the lights, and get my keys or safe combo to get my gun out.” I knew we needed some thing that we could open quickly, yet that was highly secure and could not be tampered with by our baby. That is exactly what this Product does. You can open it several different ways, which is very convenient. You can open it with a personalized pin, with your programmed fingerprint, or with a key. It also has a sliding mechanism for quick and easy access upon unlocking the gun safe. This product provides us the safety to product our family while also protecting our family from potential accidents. The safe is well built and sturdy. The action is quick and smooth. The keypad and fingerprint controls work well, were easy to setup, and came with clear instructions. The back up manual key lock is on the bottom, which is a little unusual, but it’s not a crappy barrel lock, so it’s not easy to pick. I installed it inside of a nightstand so it sits flush on a shelf, and I simply drilled a 1.5” hole in the shelf to line up with the key lock, so I can still access it if necessary. Overall, it’s a solid setup with very quick access. The company also has great customer service. They offer a free replacement foam insert if you want to cut it to fit a light, etc (I did)…it’s nice having a free do-over, or just a second insert if you decide to keep a different firearm (plus spare mag) in the safe. They were very responsive to my request (email reply came in less than 24 hours and the foam insert was delivered absolutely free in three days). My only “complaint”, as others have stated, is the mounting screws it comes with are inadequate to properly secure the mounting bracket/safe without worry of it easily being stolen. No big deal, I just used different screws. For the price of the safe and how well it’s constructed and operates, I don’t even consider this an issue. It’s a great buy. ... show more

The Langger biometric/slider handgun safe is nicely constructed and is a good value compared to other competitors . It holds my 1911 plus two extra magazines with ease. The biometric sensor was easy to program and recognizes my fingerprint every time. Regular keypad entry works just fine too. The slider opens almost instantaneously when the sensor reads your fingerprint or accepts the combination code. The slider drawer opens with plenty of force even with the weight of my pistol and the 2 extra magazines. Mounting the safe is easy with the provided bracket. So far, I am impressed for the price. The thing I think could be improved upon is the thickness of the steel case. I believe it should be thicker. I worry that it might be too easy to force open with a screwdriver or similar tool. Hopefully the electronics on this safe continue to be reliable. Many of the entry level biometric sensors work great at first and then stop working after the first year or so. Hopefully I will get many years of use out of my Langger slider safe. ... show more
