This was easy to assemble, maybe 20 minutes. Very smooth operation. Foot pedals are small, my size 12 tennis shoes hang off lengthwise 2 or 3 inches, but not uncomfortable. No issue with shoe width. I am disabled and find it very challenging to find exercises that won't hurt me. With this I am able to sit, which takes the pressure off my knees. I don't have to fully flex or extend any joints, and I can control how much resistance I am pulling. I still have to wrap my knees to keep my patellas in place, but with careful bodily awareness, I have been able to exercise for 30 mins every other night or so. I have to be careful, but I am fighting not to be in a wheelchair and this is helping me. Assembly - again I am disabled and I was by myself with no help. I was still able to put it together. It did take me a while, probably at least 1 hour, but that is just me. It came with all the needed nuts and bolts. No missing pieces. Just pay close attention to the bolt and washer types and numbers written on the cardboard container and make sure they are aligned with what they are asking for in the installation instructions and you'll be fine. It is very quiet, and you can watch something on the television while working out with it if you want to. It is also quiet for your neighbors beneath or beside you if you live in a small apartment. Storing it is pretty nice, it has little wheels on it and stands up really well. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is for 2 reasons. The first is because, the handle bar is made from rubber. There is no cushion to it. So after 1 work out my hands were pretty painful. I had red marks on the pads of my palm, and it burned with the post work out shower. With continued use like this, I would certainly get blisters. So I recommend wearing padded gloves. I am wearing gloves to workout with it, and that solved the issue. The second reason is because of the seat. The seat itself is fine in size for me, however, it does not provide much in the way of comfort. After about 15 mins your posterior will start to feel painful or uncomfortable and force you to reposition. I imagine this can be resolved with a seat cushion. Overall, I think it's a faithful workout machine and does a great job for someone who struggles with finding workouts that don't cause injury. I'm happy with my purchase. ... show more

I picked this rowing machine for the compact size and price. I'm new to rowing and didn't want to spend much. I've used it for 4 weeks now. About 3 to 4 times a week. It is quiet and works well. As a beginner, I didn't realize the handle stops at my feet and prevents me from having a full rowing stroke. I plan to upgrade to a larger machine later that allows you to go past your feet and pull back all the way. It is still a good piece of equipment for the price. This is an updated review. The machine arrived quickly, was not very hard to put together at all (about 40 mins), was the perfect size for my home office, was quiet and smooth, and in every way perfect. Unfortunately on the first use it displayed an error code on the dial which was unable to be cleared. Amazon customer service was absolutely of no help. Passed me back and forth 10 times with no resolution. I called the manufacturer & there was no answer but I left a message. I also filled out an online form. I received a call back from Kayla pretty quickly (while I was still getting passed around by Amazon). They asked me to confirm a few things, email a photo of the error code on the display, etc. I tried to use the machine despite the broken display and it started making a horrible noise. I took a short video and also emailed this to the manufacturer. They emailed back after hours and on the weekend with their apologies and replaced the rower free of charge! I had the replacement in a few days (even with the New Year holiday) and the new one works perfectly. I would have left a good review on the machine itself because it’s a great rower for what I need. Originally the experience with the defective one that arrived had me frustrated but the customer service was so excellent I cant praise them enough. Manufacturing defects can happen. (I had it happen on a very expensive machine from another company twice!). But how this company handled the problem, was stellar! Give it a shot you wont be disappointed! ... show more
