I was disappointed to receive a damaged item. It appeared as if this might have been returned and repackaged as what is damaged was surrounded by styrofoam so the damage did not occur during the delivery to my home. It still works, but it stinks I spent this much money on a damaged item. Keeping my fingers crossed that this rower will last. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was used to the Concept2 and after researching rowers for a few weeks, was strongly considering buying one of those, but then I came across this one. I was impressed with the build -- a few things like the metal handlebar seemed more quality than the Concept2. Oh and I liked the white color option. I've had the rower for about a week now and have spent about 5 hours on it. I love it. This thing is SOLID, and smooth. I think it may actually be *better* than the Concept2. I know, shocker. I love the sound of it-- turn up the volume on the video and you can hear it. This is with the damper at a 7. Plus it puts out a nice breeze which is welcome in my basement workout room. I find the resistance to be good and strong. The only thing that may make the Concept2 a better fit for some, is the Concept2 has more apps that work with the console for indoor/simulated rowing. I did download the FitLog app and use a few simulated rowing videos through the bluetooth connection but I decided I prefer taking out the day's frustrations to Ghost of Tom Joad than rowing through a peaceful river with birds chirping haha. Assembly was really easy, took about 20 minutes. The machine arrived with a warranty card that stated a lesser warranty than the 5 year parts warranty advertised so I emailed their customer service and they let me know someone just put an outdated warranty card in the box. The machine itself appears to be very solidly built, and very easy to assemble.the seat was pre installed backwards but it was very easy to correct. It’s 3 stars for the following reasons: (1) the resistance settings on the wheel do not change resistance. In reality there is 1 level of resistance. It’s “1.” (2) The low-technology monitor is worthless unless you need a timer, and it requires “D” batteries. It doesn’t Bluetooth to any of my devices. (3) The app is even more worthless. I installed it. Set it up as best as I could. Then deleted it. example: the app can only be accurately set up if you weigh 180 lbs or less. If resistance was actually adjustable I’d rate it 4 stars. ... show more

This was easy to put together and his quality material. However, a negative, and unfortunately a huge negative is that it doesn’t have any way of increasing tension. It’s too easy and is doesn’t give you a good enough work out because there’s no way to increase tension. There is a tension knob, but 10 level is the same as one level. Shipment was fine and the rower was packaged well. Assembly was easy until it came time to put the two main components together. I have attempted several times, found a video tutorial, and asked for friends assistance but I can't get the parts seated together. I can see where it is supposed to align but the parts just don't match up. Spent a lot of money to be so disappointed. Aside from a parts misalignment I think this would be a great addition to any home gym. It has a similar look and feel to the ones I use in a commercial gym. ... show more
