My chickens seem to be okay with them, we did put down some shavings to make them a little more comfortable, they are a bit rough. They didn’t fit in the nesting boxes so we did have to cut them. Our chickens just started to lay eggs and when they did, the eggs were not broken and they were clean. So far so good with these nesting mats! Just put the mats in so not sure how good they will clean up when needed but from the videos I saw, it should be pretty easy to get the poop off. This is definitely the cheaper way to go because they can be reused instead of constantly having to buy and replace the bedding. ... show more

My chickens are not use to this turf. But, I did have one use the mat. Hoping use increases. It does clean easily and wear down a bit after they scratch at it. So far, I am happy.

I have a few different pads and these ones are awful, they hold the poop in them hard to wash, the chickens don’t like the material at all!

Bought these after seeing an ad on social media and getting sick up buying the disposable pads. My chickens would destroy the other ones in a week or two scratching around in the box or breaking an egg. My chickens did not like the change at first and refused to lay eggs in the boxes. I actually had to put pieces of scrap lumber around the coop corners and other areas they started laying eggs. Took about a week for them to finally use the new pads and since have been working great. They are easy to cut if needed and super easy to clean if an eggs gets broken or one decides to use the box as a restroom. ... show more

These are perfect for my omlet coop nesting box. I’ve had 2 in there for the past 4 months and even after weekly washing they’re holding up great. I’ve never had a broken egg.
