I recently purchased this Electric Bike for Adults, and it has completely transformed my daily commute and outdoor adventures! The media could not be loaded. I have a regular 27.5" e-bike but have always wanted a fat bike for fall/winter when traction becomes an issue over hard-packed surfaces and when the tires get cold. The box weighed a bit, but it was packaged well. Just know that it's a fat bike so it does weigh a bit more with a beefier and wide stays. Since most of the assembly was already done, I only had to put the pre-assembled handlebar, wheels, and pedals. It's straightforward. If you've never set up a bike, I recommend having a bike shop do it. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes from start to finish. The battery was already charged, about 75-80%. I charged it fully either way and disconnected from the bike while setting it up. The rear rack is strong, and so are the mudguards, which cover a large amount of wheel, so I don't see it getting dirty like with my 27.5" bike. I wanted the rear rack as I also wanted to bring this when I wanted to load extra gear outside of my backpack. I'll probably use my small Pelican can strapped to it, but there's plenty of space. Performance-wise, for the price, I like it a lot. It's not too powerful, but it gives me enough exercise, and I will use the assist, especially for going uphill at medium-gear speed. More than anything, I love how smooth it rides. It's squishier and feels like it's a full suspension bike but without it being too squishy. A gravel surface is no problem. Going over bumps and curves, it's very responsive. If this bike didn't have a front suspension, a reduced tire pressure would be more than enough. The brakes are good. I ran some water and braked hard several times to embed the brake pads. That helps in terms of getting a gripper brakes. It's a standard procedure with new disc brakes, which I've done for years. You can't beat the price. It's an enjoyable cruising bike, and you can still get exercise if you don't want to use an assist. I weigh 230 lbs, and this bike didn't feel like it was struggling either. We have a lot of hills in this area, and while they're not very steep, the assist helps tremendously. 750W-1000W is the perfect power even for beginners, as you can set the assist without it being overly powerful. ... show more

This is the first Electric Bike we have ever owned, but I have to say that I wish we had tried one of these sooner. This baby has some power. Our country roads are a mixture of paved roads, gravel roads and chip & sealed roads. While we tend to avoid the gravel roads completely (even in our car), the paved and chip & sealed roads are great for riding this bike on. It took the two of us about 2 and 1/2 hours to assemble this, since we had never put one together before. The tool kit that came with the bike contained all the wrenches, etc. needed for a smooth assembly. The directions were clear, although we did have to use my phone to make the pictures bigger to see where some of the parts went (old person problems). The step by step instructions are well written and there was no need to deviate from the order in which it was assembled. I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness and weight of the bike itself. The fat tires were a game changer for me in terms of stability and control. They give me a higher sense of security over a traditional bike. The rack on the back works very well for strapping on a small cooler or other carry-all, so we have been taking this to the pond very frequently. My other likes about this bike are: The saddle is very comfortable to sit on, even for longer rides. The operation of the bike itself is very straightforward - nothing is complicated about it. The gears shift smoothly. The petals are easy to turn, and the ridges on the petals keep my shoes from sliding off of the petals. The LCD display is clear and bright enough to read even in the daylight. The acceleration when using the motor is smooth, and very effortless. The seat adjusts quickly when changing riders. The brakes work well - although it's important to use the back brake first to avoid being thrown off, just like a regular bike. After spending a few weeks taking turns riding this electric bike, we are thoroughly pleased, and intend to purchase another in the very near future. ... show more
