Made a great chicken run. The frame was easy to put together but the wire was a bit aggravating. Of course in some places like the door area you have to cut to fit. But overall great for the price & it was sturdy. The tarp is well made & hasn't torn in 2 years. Wish it came with 2 tarps.

This run is good to a point. I have had it from about May 2023 - Jan 2024 at the time of this review. Great to hold in chickens, but not recommended in my experience for their primary defense against predators and the elements. Pros: - fairly easy set up - Roomy - beginner friendly - seller was friendly, understanding, and responsive in case of issues - relatively inexpensive considering the size Cons: - door handle is finicky and there is a gap around the door that is difficult to block from predators while keeping it functional. - taller people will have to stoop a bit inside this run (I can stand straight for the most part and am 5’3”. My husband is about 5’10” and has to stoop). - chicken wire is not predator proof- need to purchase hardware cloth separately and install on top of chicken wire. Also got coated wire fencing to lay on the ground as an apron. - A small bear was easily able to collapse an entire side support, but due to hardware cloth thankfully was not able to get in (would have easily been able to if we only used chicken cloth provided). - Snow did end up accumulating on the top since we added hardware cloth for protection (unsure if this would have happened if we only used chicken wire, but definitely accumulates on tarp provided). The entire thing ended up collapsing under the weight of the recent snow storm, resulting in the death of one of our beloved hens :( Would maybe consider this set up again provided I had a sturdier structure above it to keep off snow as the poles do not seem to hold up against a lot of pressure. Bears are less common of an issue for us and were less destructive than the snow, so hardware cloth should be okay as a deterrent, or an electric fence if they are more of an issue for you. ... show more

PROS: Nice sized coop/run for the money compared to similar items Packed nicely, all materials included (with the exception of needing more zip ties) Lightweight, it can easily be moved and relocated Fairly easy to assemble, the instructions have pictures. Our cat Arwen helped! CONS: Not predator-proof, you would have to purchase hardware cloth and attach it if used solely as a coop. You will definitely need to purchase more zip ties. Larger thicker ones to secure the chicken wire to the frame and smaller ones to attach the chicken wire together. Attaching the zip ties is time-consuming and tedious As the run is not completely predator proof, the chicks are still brought into the garage at night. The set up now is temporary. We have an igloo dog house some toys and an expandable shoe rack as a perch. We will be adding an actual coop and this will be used as their run ... show more
