Description

The heavy-duty JawHorse eliminates the need to call over a neighbor just to help you hold a project. Keep your hands free to use your tools instead of using them to brace your work. And raise your project off of the floor and up to a comfortable working height. The JawHorse is really a 3-in-1 as it has workbench, vice, and machine press functionality. It’s strong enough to handle metal bending or straightening, made of solid steel with 10x the clamping force of a standard vice, and boasts the industrial pressing power of a one-ton machine press. It’s 43 lbs, which is substantial, but it needs to be to support 600 lbs projects with 1 ton of clamping pressure. Though it’s designed with a whole host of features to make it easy to use. The rear leg doubles as a handle, and the front legs have unlockable wheels, so you can raise the back and push it around the job site like a wheelbarrow. Plus, the foot pedal does much of the clamping work for you, leaving your hands truly free. It’s 33” x 15.5” x 15” when standing. And it’s backed by a hefty 5-year Rockwell limited warranty because they’re confident in the performance of their tools. The JawHorse allows for delicate work like fine-tuning a bike as well as for heavy-duty clamping projects (view larger). The JawHorse's foot pedal lever creates clamping force while keeping your hands free (view larger). Rockwell’s RK9003 JawHorse material support and saw horse is a convenient, portable workstation that provides hands-free operation for holding, clamping, and supporting work materials for DIY and professional projects alike. The foot pedal lever creates up to 2,200 pounds of clamping force, and with a maximum load capacity of 600 pounds, the JawHorse is ideal for projects such as hanging doors, placing new sheetrock overhead, setting fence posts, installing crown moldings, and more.Functional Design Makes Tasks EasierJobs that normally require two people to complete can be easily handled by one person with help from the JawHorse and its more than one ton of clamping force. The tripod base with food pads increases the JawHorse’s stability. The JawHorse can replace any number of items in your workshop arsenal, including workbenches, sawhorses, bench vises, clamps, and more.Built for Stability and StrengthEven though this 43-pound JawHorse features all-steel construction, its legs fold easily for storage and transport. When folded, it functions as a trolley unit ready to roll to the next job site—and once you get there, setup is simple and done in seconds. But its versatile design doesn’t compromise on stability. The front feet feature stirrups that allow for additional steadiness and provide the ability to anchor the JawHorse to the floor.Ultimate in Workstation VersatilityThanks to a maximum clamping range of 37 inches and a maximum clamping force of 2,200 pounds, the JawHorse is capable of holding many different sizes of materials, including items that are oddly shaped. The jaws themselves are constructed of a specialized rubber to avoid marring the materials. Alternate between asserting massive clamping pressure on heavy-duty items and the bare minimum on extremely delicate materials without fear of causing damage. Clamp lumber to saw, cut, sand, scrape, or glue—or hold up your bike for fine-tuning. Innumerable applications are further expanded by accessories (sold separately) such as plywood, log, or welding jaws; a saddlebag; and a tool tray. What's in the BoxOne Rockwell RK9003 JawHorse material support and saw horse.HighlightsProvides portable work support and hands-free operationSets up in seconds and features built-in roller for easy transportationAll-steel construction for utmost in durability and strength Accessories available (sold separately) for additional applicationsBacked by a five-year limited warranty Create a convenient and portable workspace anywhere you need one with the JawHorse (view larger).

  • Probably my favorite tool in my shop
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
This is by far my favorite and most useful tool in my shop… assembly is amazing, because there is none. Comes completely assembled, couldn’t be easier, not one single screw to thread on. This thing has been so thoughtfully made it’s shocking. Extremely impressive , versatile, extremely portable (little heavy but the weight it can clamp makes it worth it). I was going between the jaw stand and the jaw horse, wound up getting both but with my type of projects, I prefer the jaw horse 10x over, mainly because of the versatility of what you can clamp. The jawstand is extremely limited on what material you can clamp, as is….of course with a well made jig, or some extra material you could clamp smaller items. But the jaw horse is perfect just the way it is, I’m usually modifying all my tools because I’m a bit of a perfectionist and modify them to suit my needs but shockingly this thing is just Perfect. I love it. If you work projects of all shapes and sizes, wooden chairs, handrails, cabinets, fixing kids toys (haha) literally look no further. Also folds up in seconds… ... show more

  • Gets the Job Done
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
This jaw horse is a really great product. It is strong, sturdy and very functional. The design is very well thought out. Once you learn how to use it, set up and take down are a breeze. It has been invaluable helping me complete many DIY projects around the house. The weight is a bit hefty, but that's what's needed to lock in the variety of objects it can securely hold - especially heavier things. Carrying or rolling it is also very manageable and it takes up minimal space when stored in my garage. Invaluable and highly recommended!!! ... show more

  • Awesome! You need this…
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
I do custom woodworking with a lot of logs and half logs. This thing is a game changer. Simple to use, holds material tight, and is very sturdy. Beware… this thing is HEAVY! And rightfully so. The versatility seems limitless. Folds down to a nice compact footprint.

  • My favorite new tool.
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
This thing is awesome. It’s a heavy duty vise that can move to the project, instead of you traveling back and forth to your bench vise. I don’t have a work bench, so never had a good place to keep the vise I’ve always wanted. It collapses down very easy when I don’t need it and it’s just as easy to set up for when I do need it. Anything I clamp down in the jawhorse feels just as sturdy as if it were clamped down in a bolted down bench vise. When you compare the price to a good bench vise, the jawhorse feels like a steal. ... show more

  • Excellent helper
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
Bought this for my husband for his birthday- he'd never heard of it before. To his great surprise, he uses this almost every day for something- it is so strong and grips so well. He uses it mainly for cutting firewood right now, but also has plans to use it when building walls for a shed. Great tool. ... show more

  • Great product but had one somewhat annoying issue
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
The JawHorse came quickly and was packed well in the box -- no visible damage. I opened it up, read the directions but when I first tried it out, the JawHorse would not lock. No matter what I did, it would not lock. Shipping this "puppy" back would be a big hassle so I took the face plate off that holds the lock button and the button fell out -- it was not connected to anything. I saw two holes in the back of the button so I figured something had to be connected to it. When I looked inside with a flashlight, I saw the connecting prongs (thin spring loaded metal prongs) and saw they they were to be inserted in the holes from the inside out -- the spring pushing them out and holding them in place (if you have this problem you will see what I mean). I squeezed the prongs together, inserted them in the holes, reinstalled the button and faceplate and it worked like it was intended to work. I gave a four star rating because of this problem -- the unit itself is fine and works well. However, if someone purchased this unit, had the same problem, and was a bit timid about taking the faceplate off (maybe void the warranty?) it would be an giant hassle to repack and ship it back. Also, since these "prongs" were spring loaded and pushing out (you had to pinch the spring together to insert it), there is absolutely no way they could have vibrated out during shipping. In my opinion, this was definitely a quality control problem -- the unit could not have been tested to see that it worked after being manufactured. The bottom line is I am happy with the unit thus far -- it is very sturdy and works fine. However, if you find that your lock/unlock button is not working at all or not working properly, take the face plate off and check to see that both "prongs" are inserted properly. Since they are spring loaded, they are spread far apart and it took a hard second look to find the second prong (there were two holes in the button so I figured there were two). Rockwell is a good brand name but I "dinged" them a star because the customer should not have to troubleshoot their products right out of the box. ... show more

  • Good work holding solution
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
Excellent work holding capabilities once I got the hang of how to lock and unlock the jaws. The jaws might get stuck occasionally but a whack or two with a rubber mallet frees them up so they slide again.

  • What an incredible product
Color: Green Size: ‎33.1 x 15 x 15.4 inches
I work alone in my shop for 5-6 hours per day, just as a hobby. There are so many times that an extra hand would be very helpful, but in my case no one else is around. The jawhorse is a great substitute, and holds the work at the perfect height, and securely, so I can enjoy my hobby more. I would definitely put this in the "must have" category for most shop or woodworkers. They also got the operation of the jaw designed such that you can lock it in or unlock it with any level of pressure, to match the needs of the moment. Even working on something fragile, the jawhorse is a great addition. I'm very impressed with this product! ... show more
