Description

Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw with Steel Rip Fence, Miter Gauge, and 7 Accessories – RK7323 The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is the solution to the problem of having to take materials back to the workshop to cut them, and then bring them back to the job site later on. If you’re a contractor, you know that that process can add an entire day to a project. The BladeRunner is only 15 lbs, so while stable and sturdy, it’s easy to toss in the back of the truck. And with a footprint of only 15.75” x 17”, it doesn’t take up an entire workbench like traditional table saws. The hold-down guard and splitter allow for work with wider materials, and a larger rip fence than other portable table saws provides better control and accurate cuts. A no-load speed of 3000/min, a stroke length of ¾”, with 5.5 amps of power gives it the capacity for light to moderate cutting of wood (up to 1-1/2”), ceramic tile (3/8”), PVC pipe (1-1/4”), aluminum (3/8”), and steel (1/8”). (Anything over 1-1/2” and you’re probably going to need a traditional, permanently fixed tabletop saw—but you can’t take that to the job site.) The blades change out almost instantly, in under 3 seconds once you get the hang of the tool-less blade change system. And the saw is protected by a Rockwell 3-year limited warranty, so you know they stand behind their tools. Rockwell RW9266 BladeRunner X2 Cross Cut Sled Rockwell RW9266 BladeRunner X2 Cross Cut Sled

  • Don't buy if you can afford something better
Style: Saw w/ Cross Cut Sled
This tool is actually just a jigsaw turned upside down and built into a stand. It works well enough for slow and fairly rough cuts. Nowhere near as good as a mitre saw or table saw or band saw.

  • Good All-Around Saw
Style: Saw w/ Cross Cut Sled
Purchased this to cut 1/4" and 1/8" extruded aluminum. Very happy with the results using the included metal blade. Blade installation and changes require no tools, and becomes easy, once you get the hang of it. The pivot tightening bolt and knob at the rear of the saw can be a bit fussy if you don't "land" the bolt just right, so sometimes takes a second try, then works. The fence mounts on the right side only, and the securing knob for the work thickness adjustment is also on the right, which can get in the way. For example when ripping aluminum angle (where you want the vertical side to ride the fence, but it then it runs into the knob limiting the cut length. I worked around this by reversing the carriage bolt and knob - I'm sure this is off-brand use - had to force-tighten the knob to make the carriage bolt hex neck cut into the round hole in the plastic on the the right side, so it's dug in, and works, and I'll leave it there. All-in, I like this small tabletop saw, especially considering the price and versatility. ... show more

  • Works good for small projects.
Style: Saw w/ Cross Cut Sled
Works well, it’s not like a band saw but for the price a portability you can’t go wrong.

  • poor quality
Style: Saw w/ Cross Cut Sled
All this is is a jigsaw upside down with a cheap fence. Even with the best blades it will not cut straight. I guess it would be fine for thin materials or something that is not dense, but not for 1 x pine or poplar wood. All this is good for is quick rough cuts where a 90 degree or clean line is not needed. I ended up taking my loses and putting it in the dumpster. ... show more
